YOUR LOVE IS LIKE FIRE
The many waters can not quench love,
Nor will the rivers drown it.
If man gave all the goods of his house for this love,
They would certainly belittle him.
We all know that love is described as that fire that burns, and that can not be extinguished,
"Love is like fire, come before the smoke those who are outside ... that the flames are inside"
- Jacinto Benavente
When we recognize that love comes from God, and that only through him we can have the capacity to love, then we are on the right path of life, loving is something spontaneous, genuine, that does not ask questions, and that should be our stamp as Christians. That true love will always flow in a natural way, and it can not be hidden. Love is capable of doing what science can not, love gives life, we are happy only with loving.
The words of Paul in the first three verses of chap. 13 of his first letter to the Corinthians are very eloquent. Without love, the most precious of man is reduced to nothing; his greatest achievements become zero and spiritual gifts come to be less than nothing. And the same can be said of benevolence. What can be more sublime than giving all our goods to feed the poor?
However, Paul not only implies in v. 3 that it is possible to do something like that without being moved by the spring of true love, but it also clearly teaches that if it is that way, it serves:
"If I spoke human and angelic languages, and I do not have love, I come to be like metal that resonates, or a cymbal that retunes. And if I had prophecy, and understood all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I had all faith, so that I could move the mountains, and have no love, I am nothing. And if I distribute all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, and have no love, it is of no use to me "(1Cor.13: 1-3).
When we feel that love, we know that God is in us, that love that burns us, that burns within us is the engine that drives us to achieve what seems unattainable.
It is love that moves us to take refuge in God in times of difficulty. When affliction comes we want to be close to those we love, and receive the consolation of their company. He who loves God takes refuge in God in times of need. When you are sick, God embraces you and shelters you under his wings.
LOVE FEELS, BREATHES ... LOVE IS ONE ...
When you feel the love of God, then there you discover his face, it is like fire that burns within us.
No exception to love.
No, there is no exception. No thought that "This person does not deserve it." Jesus gave his life for us, and this was the ultimate test of how much He loved us. Never has anyone deserved this to a lesser degree than us. Loving does not mean agreeing with the sin of others, or saying that everything they do is fine. Rather, it is to carry your burden, to pray for them, to have faith for them, to wish them the best. This is going to action despite what I feel. Then I can go from having a natural aversion for someone to having a true love for them. If I want to help them and get them to turn from things that could be harmful to them, I can exhort, advise or correct them, but I can only do so when I do it out of true care for them.
TODAY, THERE IS A CHALLENGE TO LOVE.
LOVE BELIEVES THE BEST
[Love] believes everything, expects everything, (1 Corinthians 13.7) In the deep and private corridors of your heart, there is a room. It is called the "recognition room". There they go your thoughts when you find positive and encouraging things about the people you love. And from time to time, you like to visit this special place. On the walls, there are friendly words and phrases that describe the good attributes Among them, there may be characteristics such as "sincere" and "intelligent", or phrases such as "diligent worker", "excellent cook" or "beautiful eyes". They are qualities that you have discovered with respect to your husband or wife, families, friends that have been recorded in your memory. When you think about them, the I appreciate that you have because people start to increase. In reality, the more you meditate on these positive attributes, the more grateful you feel.
It is likely that most of the things in the room recognition have been written in the early stages of your relationship. You could summarize them as the issues that you liked and that you respected of your loved ones. They were real, honorable and good. And you spent a lot of time in this room thinking about them ... However, you may realize that you no longer You visit this special room with the same frequency as before. This it's because there's another room nearby that competes with him. At the end of another dark corridor of your heart is the "Room of contempt", and unfortunately, you're also going visit there. Everything that bothers you is written on your walls and you It irritates people. This got there because of frustration, feelings injured and disillusion of unfulfilled expectations.
Some people write hate-filled sentences in this room, where reproaches are rehearsed for the next discussion. In this place, the emotional wounds become infected and they add more scathing comments to the walls. Here they are saved the ammunition for the next big fight, and the bitterness is It spreads like a disease. People are disappointed in this place.
You should know the following: Spend time in the room of the disparagement ruins relationships. Fights are planned there and violent plans are prepared. The more time you spend in this place, your heart more depreciates.
Maybe, you say: "But these questions are real!" True, but so are those found in the room of the recognition. Everyone fails and has areas that need increase. Everyone has unresolved issues, injuries and a baggage personal. It is a sad aspect of the human being. We all have sin; but we have the unfortunate tendency to minimize our own negative attributes while we place under the magnifying glass the faults of others.
THE MEASURE OF LOVE, IS TO LOVE WITHOUT MEASURE.
"Love is a precious pearl that, if it is not possessed, the rest of the things are useless, and if it is possessed, everything else is left over". Sermon on Epistle of San Juan.
There are two lines to love or not to love, then you choose, love God, love your neighbor, and love yourself.
Mother Teresa: «love until it hurts». In one case and in another the measure of love is to love without measure, that is, to live the spirit of the Beatitudes.
The true Christian is one whose measure of love is not oneself but the love with which God loves us, as the evangelist John says: "love one another as I have loved you." This is the novelty that Jesus offers us, to love with the same gratuity, radicality, universality and tenderness as He has loved each one of us.
We have emptied the soul of values and now we want to replace it with laws that subjugate the heart. Do not settle for less than excellence (sanctity)! Mediocrity, does not hook anyone. Let's look up and discover the next (neighbor), hold out his hand, help him recover his true dignity, restore his disfigured face ... and we will feel more authentic, free, happy, full, fertile and responsible!
Jesus makes a clear proposal: love and do it without expecting anything in return. Without even waiting for God to love you and reward you for it. There is the great mystery of love. And only then will the reward of life and joy be received. When the person surrenders, without limits, to love. When it is exhausted in that love. Without measure. Without conditions. Then and only then will we experience the love of God that envelops and fills us. That is what Jesus invites us to all Christians.
God always love us, even as we sin against him all the time he cannot stop loving us. Thanks @darlenys
Beautiful message Darlenys, you also heard that it was said: "Love your neighbor and hate your enemy." But I tell you: Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you. Thus you will be children of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on bad and good, and sends the rain on the just and unjust. Because if you love only those who love you, what prize will you receive? Even those who charge taxes for Rome behave like this. And if you greet only your brothers, what do they do extraordinary? Even pagans behave like this. Matthew 5: 43-47 (DHH)
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples: "To those who listen to me I say to you: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who insult you. The one who hits you on one cheek, introduce the other; If you take the cloak, leave the tunic too. To whom it asks, give it; whoever takes your thing, do not claim it. Treat others as you want them to treat you. Well, if you love only those who love you, what merit do you have? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good only to those who do you good, what merit do you have? Also sinners do it. And if you lend only when you expect to collect, what merit do you have? Sinners also lend to other sinners, with the intention of charging it. Do not! Love your enemies, do good and lend without expecting anything; you will have a great reward and you will be children of the Most High, who is good to the wicked and ungrateful. Be compassionate as your Father is compassionate; Judge not, and you shall not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you: you will pour a generous measure, full, shaken, overflowing. The measure you use, they will use with you. "

Why not start a trip today? Have the purpose of knowing and experiencing the love of God. Then decide to share that love with others, even if they do not deserve it, because God first loved us, when we did not deserve it. By doing that, you do not give anyone the key to your self-esteem. Instead, you draw from the love that God gives you for your sense of transcendence and self-esteem.
On a day like this one has to focus on the Gospel. In him Jesus speaks of love. In our society there is also much talk of love. But love seems almost like an instrument we use to feel better. So much we have become accustomed to living in a consumer society, in which everything is bought to feel better, to make our life more comfortable and more comfortable, that love and human relationships are also thought from the same perspective. The person and their well-being have placed themselves in such a way at the center of existence that everything else, including other people, revolve around them. Everything is contemplated from a selfish perspective. The person looks continuously for their rights. And the others are put at the service of my needs and desires. The more pleasure, comfort and well-being a person gets, the more valuable their life will be. As long as I do not get a good car, a good house, a good salary and / or a person who loves me, my life loses value. That is the current approach.
