The carnage after the storm #LondonMarathon
It's been a hectic few days again so here's a quick post showing a side of the London Marathon many won't see.
This was the scene just before 23 miles as the clean up vehicles were on course and after the Police had broken up drunken scenes; not sure you'll see the broken glass everywhere.
The ground was littered with vast amounts of these little gas cannisters too.
The crowds are fantastic - shame that a few have to take it too far.
Messy. What are the gas canisters for?
I believe they contain nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, that people use as a recreational drug. Not really congruent with watching one of the best and most inspiring marathons in the world.
I love the simplicity and freedom of running. A pair of shoes and you are all set to explore new trails.
