very small rant

I have been farming for automated votes lately. Initially, it was just to show, how easy the current 'automated curation' can be gamed. But after a while, I am beginning to like it; It's just too easy.
This morning I caught myself being afraid to lose those votes. I got corrupted.
Steem used to be unpredictable, now I can calculate my weekly earnings in Steem. My rewards depend on how often I post, who I voted for in between, how much Steem Power I have, where I post, but not what I actually post - Had I gone through the trouble of taking 1000 pictures of the same fucking flower last summer, I would have enough material to quite literally (flower) farm the soul out of Steem. I haven't though and I fear getting blacklisted by those bots now.
I don't feel like putting much effort into posts or curation anymore, but now that I had a taste of those exploits, I don't want to stop farming either.
I blame linear rewards ( and my lack of discipline ).
It's incredibly frustrating.

I used to have mixed feelings about those who vote me automatically. Until, I embraced the game that is "Steem Gathering".
No system where you rely on everyone else to "act right" will be successful anyway. I'm over it. :)

They need to stop the upvote bot , for real, we need to promote the good content.
Can you explain more what you mean? I'm guessing you don't mean paying bid bots but using certain keywords that automatically get voted on?
It's much easier than that.
I am afraid they will just blacklist me and not change the algorithm, so I don't want to expose the full details here right now ;)

Hast du mal über einen 2. Account nachgedacht? Hast wahrscheinlich eh schon einen..
Dann könnte man das trennen, ist dann aber auch nicht mehr möglichst großer Profit..

You'd have the votes + at least the impression having said something.
But that's lame.
Also you can rant + farm for votes.
Say something while pretending there are no problems whatsoever.
