Qurator Tiers and Upvote Weights Update - 1/1/2018

Welcome to the Qurator Tiers update!
As a member of @qurator we already know you post original content and we fully support original quality content, especially from minnows. We send out daily upvotes to all our Qurites if they post, but if they show some participation or invest in @qurator we feel they deserve some better rewards from @qurator. That's where Tiers come in. Below you will find all the members of @qurator and their respective tiers.
NOTE:The Upvote Tiers (1 and 2) are counted each Sunday and if you failed to upvote before our count your Tier might be lower than expected. Upvote values also decline/change over a 7 day period before the post reaches payout. The time of your upvote might have been $0.01 but by the time the posts reaches payout the values are less/more.
Upvote Tiers
In the past we said that T1 and T2 members need to upvote the Daily Qurator post to gain access to T1/T2. We have now changed this to all @qurator posts. Thus, if you upvote 7+ of any @qurator posts in one week you will gain access to T2 voting. For automated voting we suggest using Steemvoter
The 1% supporters/upvoters...
It has come to our attention that some users are taking advantage of the Upvote Tiers. The original rules were:

This was mainly put in play to give Qurator more support towards earning SBD for leases. All SBD we earn go towards our members with leases or payouts for competitions. There have been some members that do upvote our daily posts but by only 1%... this is not support though. We understand that every member has a different amount of SP though. Thus, starting this week we will counting upvotes only if they are worth at least $0.01.
We know some members don't have a lot of SP and even their 100% upvote is not worth $0.01. We will still count your vote if we see a 100% vote even if it's below $0.01.
Below your can see examples of upvotes that will and will not count towards the Tiers:
1% = $0.00 will not be counted
100% = $0.00 will be counted
Any % = at least $0.01 will be counted
I know this might not sit right with some Qurites but the Qurator project cannot support all the Tiers if some users show us support with $0.00 upvotes while they can clearly support the project and all members with a higher upvote. We are not asking for your 100% upvote. We just think it fair that we support the users who support the project and their fellow Qurites.
Direct Steem Deposit Tiers.
There are multiple ways to get a higher Tier.
T1-T2 can easily be achieved by upvoting @qurator posts.
T3-T5 are normally for delegations and direct steem deposit towards leases. We have change to the days that you will stay in a tier from 30 days to 40 to be more profitable for our members and supporters. By sending Steem directly to @qurator you can get a higher Tier and we can get better leases to support all our members.
4 Steem = Tier 1 for 40 days
6 Steem = Tier 2 for 40 days
8 Steem = Tier 3 for 40 days
10 Steem = Tier 4 for 40 days
12 Steem = Tier 5 for 40 days
Note: Remember Tiers stack so upvoting to get Tier 2 and then sending 6 Steem for Tier 3 will place you in Tier 5.
Changes to Tier 0 upvote weights.
It has come to our attention that there are a lot of members that registered with Qurator, but that are not actively supporting the project's growth. This is not a necessity but is always much appreciated. We tend to give more support to those who return the favor. You are not just supporting Qurator but all 480+ members. Most of our profits go toward leases so any upvote helps all of us.
Supporting Qurator with Upvotes/Delegation means you are supporting all the members within Qurator. We use all funds to grow the @qurator account. Thus, all who helps out with the growth of Qurator is helping out with the support towards the Qurator Community.
T0 Members are not really active and we respect their choices. We are not forcing anyone to Upvote/Delegate. We just feel it is more fair towards supporters to get more rewards as a token of our appreciation for helping out the Qurator project. It's a group effort.
Tier 0 upvote weights have been decreased.
This way we can award the T1-5 members more since they are actively supporting the project.
If you want to support Qurator more we suggest delegating or upvoting our Daily Qurator posts. This can be automated with Steemvoter (guide to set up a Steemvoter account HERE.

What if I upvote and delegate?
YES, delegations and upvotes stack.
Example: Delegating 300SP and upvoting the Daily Qurator 7+ time a week will place you in a T5 membership slot.
Current Tiers with their Upvote Weight and Upvote Worth
We currently have around 53 288 SP (up 4850 from last week) and this seems to be the sweet spot around 50K. With more support from members and investors we will see higher numbers. Our next target is 60K and we should see that number this week! =)

Current Values at 69.0% Voting Power, these values are some of the lowest we have seen so far. We saw a MASSIVE increase in new members and older members advancing into higher tiers. The upvote weights dropped quite a bit, but we have new leases in the market that would hopefully bring us to 60K+ SP. So the lower upvotes will only be temporary.
Upvote Weights might change depending on our Voting Power
Qurator Selfvote
Our account is now big enough that a selfvote will make a big difference in the long run. Most of our profits go towards leases and our members. Our selfvote will start this week, thus the voting weights will take a dip and then from next week the values should increase. With our selfvote and we can show extra support later on to all our members. We will do the upvotes near the end of our post payout to ensure all our members upvoting us will get some extra curation in. ;)

Note: Tier 0 members could earn a lot more by showing @qurator support by upvoting the Daily Qurator. Have a look at Tier 2 weights compared to T0. That's almost triple the Upvote Worth.

Hey G! Good work you are doing. I know how busy you must be! So my dad just started a baseball/ yankee baseball historian blog. He's been a big fan his whole life, played the game seriously and even tried out in Yankee Stadium in the 60s. He has a masters degree and is very well written. Thanks G! I just sent you six steem for tier 5 for my Dad. I also told him the deal. Up-vote and follow @qurator every time you see anything from them in your feed. (this is an almost a 70 year old man with very little computer skills. this is how I have to explain it to him! lol)
I also taught him copy and past last week. I told him to write "Photo Credit:_______" and copy and past the web address there. I'll keep an eye on his post and help him along. But he should be good. Very smart man. Was as stock broker for years, this is just all very new to him.
When I visit him in Florida in few months I plan to help him further with formatting and more. Or maybe through a skype lesson sooner.
So....have you heard anything from @sndbox?

Oh, registration is 2steem and T5 is 12steem for 40 days. Hope that is ok with you, we can do 8steem for T3 and then count his upvotes, that should be fine to put him in T5 as well. =)

G, I've run myself down spending endless hours working on post and being on the coputer and socializing and more I thik I've got a touch of the flu or something. I'm stuck here in Guayaquil and can't move on. Since my blog has blown up and I'm obsessed with pumping out 3 post a day, I have no time for anything. I'd just go ahead and drop my dad down to to tier 2 or 3 or however it works out with what I sent you. He won't even know the difference for now. He'll just be happy for the votes, and that things are moving along. As far as sndbox, they should email you, or message you. Maybe you can reach out to them. I'm kind of bummed they haven't gotten in touch with you yet. I saw you replied to that other long message of mine. I'll take a look.

Hey, @qurator and the team behind it. I just wanted to say thank you for all the good work you do with this project. I believe that projects like this one who only approved quality authors will be very important for the blockchain, especially now that we get so many new users who post low quality content. Finding posts from the new tab is terrible..
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks. I haven't really participated in the community asides from paying the registration fee some time ago, but I will be adding you to the autovoter today. I don't use Steemvoter, but instead Steemauto, but I think it will be just as fine.

Hehe, I get completely understand why you get angry! There is just so much spam and low quality content there. I don't understand why some people believe they will make a lot of money by posting 2-4 sentences about something, or by copy-pasting from other sources..
Steemauto has a feature where you can become a fan of an author, and it will automatically upvote all new posts with your set vote weight. I suppose this is pretty much the same as Steemvoter?
My account was approved. I was considering delegating 300sp to reach tier 5, with 7+ upvotes a week. Are there detailed instructions on how to do this?
Whoohoo! Welcome aboard! There are many ways to delegate and many posts about it. The easiest way would be to follow this link. It is for 300 SP delegation.
