RE: To Vote or Not To Vote

in #politics7 years ago

As before, very nice piece.

In my opinion corruption is not the problem of Nigeria, but a result of clannishness among the masses and a feeling of entitlement among old politicians (study all Nigerian leaders and you will discover that only Goodluck Jonathan and Yaradua were open minded, detribalized visionaries).

But now that corruption is the order of the day and Saint Buhari has shown himself to be the most corrupt and ruthless of them all, I believe that the masses have the power to set things aright.

The Nigerian masses are more powerful than they think, but our insecurities and clannishness will keep holding us back whether we engage in political apathy or not.

We should be focused on finding a common theme for nation building - this is the only solution if followed religiously.

Restructuring is our best bet yet, but only if it's not politicized.

2019 just like 2015 will be a crucial year in Nigerian history. It will either salvage Nigeria from this Buhari mess and all the messes we find ourselves, or it can break our dear country in tiny pieces.

Whichever be the case, never deny yourself your voter's right; it's one right they are willing to let you express.

Thanks and #upvoted!
