RE: Making Money with Steem and Pokemon Go -- or, How the New Economy Is About To Get Really, Really Weird
Did you read this?...
You might be stuttering right now.... "b-b-b-but these KIDS are just interested in their game, not buying anything...they don't even have any money!"...
...just remember that these "kids" can all somehow afford mobile phones with data plans. You can't put the Pokemon Go app on a non-phone device unless you're a l33t h4x0r.
They have access to capital that could be going to you, whether it's to your business...or for the pokemon (digital assets) you've earned on your phone.
Yes, but firstly just because their parents pay their phone bill doesn't mean they get large amounts of cash to spend too. But more importantly, you would just end up with loads of people cluttering up the place and getting in the way of actual customers, and the vast majority of them probably wouldn't be interested in whatever you were selling.
The majority we've seen playing are not kids, especially in the late hours. If you own a restaurant or cafe, you're going to have people interested in sitting down and eating - and the longer you stay, the more you run up your tab.
It's true it might not work for every business, but we've seen success even for gas stations looking to take advantage of the craze. No joke.
