The vertigo it made me fall in the shadows - Original poem - @prydefoltz

in #poetry6 years ago
The migratory movements constitute, nowadays, a global phenomenon. Migrations are often framed around certain situations in countries that have forced the compulsive exit of people seeking life expectancy in other nations. At this moment, hundreds of thousands of people cross borders legally or illegally. In many cases, the threat of death looms over them and, in others, they seek solutions to the cruel social, political and economic situation that has plagued many countries in different parts of the world.
Here, in South America, the greatest exodus is taking place in my country, Venezuela. Every day, hundreds of young people and even entire families leave the country with different destinations, but with greater impact in sister countries, in search of a future that does not allow the current political situation. So, we are being dismembered, we are running out of without son, without a large part of the productive population, which will generate catastrophic changes in the future. And, in the meantime, pain, loss and the vision of black and somber tomorrow.

The musical theme that I connect with this creation, between the lines, is:Damien Rice | What If I´m Wrong?

"Life is very dangerous. Not for the people who do evil, but for those who sit down to see what happens."

Albert Einstein

The vertigo it made me fall in the shadows

Who dances in the cavern?
Who swims in the fog
Looking only silhouettes

People who move and are born
people who get lost
At night
that has no map
Only silhouettes

Here they were born and they left

                                                                         like waves

                                              Slowly all people

                                 on trips

              in the thirst for worlds.

Everything happens

        only the chest roars

The anguish of the future barks

                             and get trapped

in the fire of an oblivion

                                                                                                   that envelops all sound.

I put my hands
            a moment and vertigo
it made me fall in the shadows
It is a candle that reminds me
                                         my land
                                                 that drowned in a twilight
                                                                crying for their children
                                                                            shaking of impotence.

A poignant and pointed write.

The tragedy grows everywhere we look. It’s a tragedy driven by greed a self-interest. Those that have fight to cling graspingly to the hopes that fuel their lives, while helping to deny hope to those most in need… creating ever and ever more disparity and suffering… creating more and ever more migrants trying to find a path to a share of hope.

It is true. The diaspora is becoming more intense and the hope of changing reality is increasingly distant. Thanks for sharing your impression, @momzillanc.

Thank you for your poignant words

Venezuela, cruel e insólita. Quien diría que un minúsculo grupo vengativo de personas iba a poner a más de 30 millones de venezolanos en zozobra,

Eso es correcto.

such beautiful words used ! excellent job on your entry i joined the same contest ! Good luck on your post !! :)

Fabulous work, Zeleria. I am of the mind that we should have one world and not countries but still certain land speaks to one more than another. But they all speak in their own way. I could do with a little more compassion and less anguish.

Thanks, Pryde! Your opinion is very important for me.

Deep as always, dear @zeleiracordero

Your poem reminds me of Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" in his Republic, and, of course, it makes me imagine a flow of young shadows (you've referred to already very well).

Thanks for sharing, dear.
