Winter stone animals

In St. Petersburg many different monuments with animals. Some of the most famous and numerous lions, but we also love sphinxes.

These old photographs show snow sculptures from the city center.

Among them there are Chinese Shi-Tzu - either a lion or someone else. In the background - Peter and Paul Fortress.

Shi-Tzu was brought from Manchuria in 1907.

Is it cold to the southern animals under the snow?
