Sophia courtyard

in #photography6 years ago (edited)

Sofia is the largest city in Bulgaria, but compared to Moscow it is small. About one and a half million people live here, and the area of the city is about 500 square kilometers. The city is located in a hollow that is framed by mountains, so the views from our windows are very beautiful. In the center, these species also complement the red tiled roofs.

The city is equally picturesque downstairs - especially in the center. Since Sofia is a very old city, and as a settlement it generally has an age of several thousand years, the inner courtyards of Sofia keep secrets from secrets. These places are known only to particularly enthusiastic and dedicated people. I'm a passionate man but not very dedicated)

Therefore, I know not all the places where the 19th century intersects with the 4th century, for example. But there are such places. It is just hard to get there because of the fact that in the center of Sofia all the courtyards are wells. They are closed to passers-by - only people who live there can enter. Sometimes someone forgets to close the gate behind him and then you can go in there and examine the courtyard for artifacts (of the Roman or medieval era). I will show one such yard. Unfortunately, no Roman ruins were found there.

The house itself was built in the late 19th, early 20th century.

The house stands on the street "Tsar Shishman", next to the street of Dostoevsky.

Inside it smells like moss and rotten leaves.

It seems that no one lives here, but inside there is a yellow light bulb.

There is a “izvor” - a tap with water.

The requirement to close the door from 10 pm to 7 am, and during the day to use the intercom. And here you can not glue ads.

The rear parts of the neighboring houses.

It smells of baked potatoes in a cast-iron pot.

Someone fenced "their" territory with ropes. For what purpose is not clear.

Thank you for your time and attention.
