A winter hike ❄️
Greetings Steemians
Last weekend I had the chance to escape to central Switzerland and snowshoed winter wonderland along the Emmental Alps. The weather was absolutely fantastic and the local mountain guard signalled low to no risk of avalanches along the track I was aiming for. So I was good to enter an untouched powder snow arena with no visible track to follow. The GPS on my wrist was my only guide - with the backup of being familiar with a few peaks around me which would have allowed me to navigate back in case of battery exhaustion.
Here a few photographic impressions for you which can hopefully cast some of the winter's magic on your screens:

The pictures are brilliant, a virtual journey for readers. It's easy to overlook the sky with all that snow and stunning landscape. But on a second and third look, I realized that the sky undergoes some dramatic changes as the pictures progress. It's not just backdrop. It's beautiful.
Wow! These photos are out of this world! Beautiful earth in Switzerland! No tourists, no crazy noise in shopping malls! Your brain and soul would have a real rest and rejuvenation!
So lucky to be able to choose this life style! You are a real mountain person!

Bilder wie diese, die wohlgemerkt sehr schön anzusehen sind, mir aber Live einen Schüttelfrost beschehren, waren sicher auch ein Beweggrund das es mich gen Süden zog.
Das schaut wirklich fantastisch aus. Von so viel Schnee können wir bei uns nur träumen. Derzeit hat uns die Eiseskälte fest im Griff. Kommende Woche ist wieder etwas Schnee gemeldet. Ich hoffe doch sehr, dass mir auch Bilder von so einem Winterlandschaft gelingen.

Du hast sie bearbeitet, oder? Hab so einen Retro-Look irgendwie, den ich sehr ansprechend finde!

Danke! Ja, die Bilder habe ich mit Lightroom bearbeitet. Vor allem Weissabgleich ist bei Winterbildern wichtig und muss i.d.R. manuell vorgenommen werden.

So eine Landschaft habe ich noch nie mit eigenen Augen gesehen!
Eine so unberührte Winterlandschaft betreten zu haben kann ich mich tatsächlich selbst auch nicht erinnern. War wirklich ein Traum.
Das kann man auf den Fotos durchaus erkennen! ;-)

Die ersten Spuren in einer unberührten Winterlandschaft bei strahlend blauem Himmel zu ziehen - das erinnert mich an meine früheren Schitouren. Auch wenn du mit der Anzeigequalität der Fotos nicht zufrieden bist, mir gefällt das Winterpanorama ausgesprochen gut!
