RE: Photo Thieves Beware! You're Looking At The New "Photo Sheriff" On Steemit!

A) Agree, and I always credit any work I post that I don't hold the copyright to (and get permission)
B) slippery slope. You used a gif, I see. The images it uses are not your work. I mean, the cinematographer was well paid and has no need for your pennies, but the point remains. You must be blameless if you're going to be the sheriff!

True, but there's a huge difference between using a GIF and doing what this guy is doing https://steemit.com/animal/@tahirafd17/a-leopard-toward-snow-covered-mounts

This is the kind of nonsense I'm looking to shut down. As you can see, he uses only the photo, with no attribution and even makes it look like he took it. I could care less about GIFs or Memes as it's a much different intention.

Oh man, yeah, that's awful.
Nonetheless, I think you can provide value with a stolid Lawful Good outlook. :)

Like, I'm not trying to chastise you, but I know I feel extra irritated when I see a cop roll through a stop sign. It's like, no big deal, but also, those who enforce the law must be above reproach by virtue of their unreproachable behavior.

Who polices the police, you know? That's me, but inconsistently and without any real power.

I totally get it man! I'm the same way. One thing I promise is that I will never claim or make it look like I took a photo that I didn't. Got too much respect for what photographers go through to get these shots to do that.

Thumbs up!
