Kind of makes you not to want to go back. The train used to cost us around 60 Pounds for a return ticket and was hassle free really.Taking a car would have been cheaper, but not by much. Nothing is cheap today and you need money to do most things.
The funny thing was that our daughter wanted to take the bus because it was "easier". She actually has no idea, but likes buses. It is only about 5 kms away but the parking cost 15€... we should listen to her.
