in #pap7 years ago (edited)

When I read about @funmiakinpelu's contest on @Pangoli's blog, I knew immediately that I wanted to participate in it. It was a fun and creative experience all the way. So I say kudos! to @funmiakinpelu.

The conversation below is between me @doris-adioha and my steemit son @geniusbiy (this explains the use of the word "son" in the course of our conversation.... Just incase you are wondering.)

Me: Son!

Me: Nd u are okay with them?

Genuisnabiy: Yes I did
Genuisnabiy: Of course!

Me: Cool
Me: Let's talk about how we will split the payouts...
Me: In the spirit of fairness and equality
Me: I suggest we split whatever the payout is equally...

Genuisnabiy: lol

Me: Why u laughing?

Genuisnabiy: Today is women's day, in that spirit, I suggest you get all of the payout
Genuisnabiy: You already talking about payout before winning😂

Me: Not winning na, there would be payouts for the post itself
Me: I wasn't thinking about winning at all
Me: Uhh.... U are forming gentleman...

Genuisnabiy: 🙂, you think i am?
Genuisnabiy: Well you did a good job raising a gentle man
Genuisnabiy: How about we start now

Me: Awwwww..... U always making me proud....
Me: Umm...
Me: We av to get the questions from @FunmiAkinpelu's blog first...

Genuisnabiy: 😆
Genuisnabiy: I have my part of the questions already
Genuisnabiy: But your questions are the starting part

Me: I am trying to load her page but the network ain't so good here

Genuisnabiy: I can get em for you

Me: Awww.... Are u always this courteous?
Me: I av gotten them already though....

Genuisnabiy: Not always

Me: As ladies, no doubt, we have been made to go through the worst experiences in the hands of men - Battery, single mothering, rape, sexual molestation by uncles and cousins and househelps. No matter what we say about how men also get these treatments, the truth is females are mostly affected. Being a guy, can you explain why you think these things happen? Simply put, why do men abuse women? And then, knowing the problems what do you think can be done?

Genuisnabiy: Well I'm 100 percent against men beating women and boyfriends beating girlfriends, not only is it against the law, it also depicts insanity on the part of the man, the main cause psychologically, stems from males trying to exert their dominance over the females, and if one as a man really thinks he was created with the strong muscles to beat up the support (woman) God has given him, i think he is having syntax error replicating his brain.

The way I think this could be prevented is knowing the fact that women over react sometimes, flare issues up, and really make mess of things, you as a man can just be calm, try to be conscious of the fact that nothing good comes out from being angry, while doing these also try to understand the woman's pains and soothe her, if this is not working, give her sometime, she will eventually reset herself to factory settings, from there you can try to iron issues out and see to each other's point of view.

Me: LMAO @ "syntax error"
Me: Next question...
Me: You know how women are parading themselves around, talking about how they should have equal rights with men. How they should be able to work, eat, talk and behave like men. Now, most of these women abandon marriage and family hood for their careers. What do you really think about this? Is this the way forward?

Genuisnabiy: I partly agree with them, not totally, we are made differently, that's for a purpose, i don't even understand why they think they are equal to man, looking at it anatomically women are made with more organs and more sophistication, from that, it is glaring they have more purpose than man, they were made stronger, ask me why? The pain experienced by women during child birth is scientifically proven to be more than enough to kill a man, yes! They are made to endure more pain, I don't like it when society places some restrictions on what they can be or achieve, I might be the father of a daughter someday and I want to see my daughter fly above her ambitions, this century is taking new turns already, we have women pilots, women presidents etc,
Genuisnabiy: But above all, somethings are not just meant to be, it was written in the scriptures that women should cover up their body, it is for their own protection since they have more sensitive organs and respect the scripture has on womanhood, trust me, Girl wanting to be like men and not dressing moderately or not wearing shirts at all will only lead to more FEMINISM Movements, as this is when rape counts, battery and other abuses would increase

Me: Ur answers are quite passionate....
Me: Next question....
Me: What turns you on and what turns you off in a woman? By extension, what is your own idea of feminine beauty? Fatness, tallness, business, shortness. Talk am.

Genuisnabiy: Chai😂
Genuisnabiy: This one na strong one
Genuisnabiy: Oooo
Genuisnabiy: There is no standard for beauty, if there is, I remain a wild stallion, but there are certain things I personally look out for 😉, and I'm not talking about one eye closed😱, if you are this woman I will be describing, you are with my switch, you can turn me on anytime, sweet smile with white teeth, bright eyes like the sun rising from the west and bus stops in the north😀, prominent dimple like an angel's kiss, nice proportionate neck, then a huge gallop(if you know what i mean😏) a deep valley in between, a huge mountain(if you can still relate😉) then slightly curvy legs, if she now has character, O EM GEE, then she's not holding a switch but a remote control, I can be a robot for love oo. Tallness? If she's taller, then she would like an average height guy like me🤫, business? Any legitimate business, so far she's not CEO at slay Queens, shortness? If she is shortly tall or tally short, anyone I'm OK.
Turn off? If you don't hold my switch or control, how can you turn me off?
Genuisnabiy: It is my time to slide in the questions😉

Me: Lol.... Shoot
Me: But ur descriptions sha...
Me: Which is one is gallop, valley and mountain bayi?

Genuisnabiy: Lols, I'm still not sure I've painted the right picture🤔
Genuisnabiy: God, I hate descriptive essays
Genuisnabiy: Everybody knows the stomach is the way to a man's heart ♥. But we rarely know what the way is to a woman's heart. So, can you tell me what the way to a woman's heart is? How can I make a woman love me more?

Me: Ummm.... I have to say this quite difficult to answer
Me: Women are like flowers, water them, prune them, care for them and they would open up to you like the flowers they are.
Me: Nothing breaks a girl's defences like her man's dedication to her....

Genuisnabiy: Hmm, wao!
Geniusnabiy: Real smooth🙂
Geniusnabiy: Are you up for my next question?
Geniusnabiy: You ladies keep talking about feminism and women rights and all that kind of thing. But I am confused here. What exactly is feminism and do men have a role to play in it?

Me: Feminism is simply a belief that men and women should have equal rights....
Me: And this stems from ladies being mistreated or relegated to the background, simply cos they are women
Me: Now, mistreatment and the relegation of women most times is a "culture thing"
Me: The African culture is a typical example....
Me: Culture as we all know is defined as "the way of life" of particular persons or people....
Me: Indicating that it would be very hard to change..... Cos it is their way of life....
Me: Men play a role in the feminism movement when they refuse to see women as partners and not slaves....
Me: They play a role when they refuse to be fair to women....
Me: If I begin to site examples, I would be writing an epistle here, so I would just leave it at this....

Geniusnabiy: Lol,
Geniusnabiy: Then to my next question
Geniusnabiy: What one thing would you really want to change about a man if you had your way? Just one thing.

Me: Their belief that women should swallow whatever shit they dole out to them because it's the duty of the woman to do that.

Geniusnabiy: Really..
Geniusnabiy: Wao
Geniusnabiy: Okay, I'm asking two more random questions
Geniusnabiy: What do you watch for in a man?

Me: Is he violent?
Is he responsible?
Is he dedicated to me?
Is he open minded?
What are his long and short term goals?

Geniusnabiy: Wao😂, you mean business oo
Geniusnabiy: Can't even talk about his height, his red eyes etc

Me: Who those one epp?

Geniusnabiy: Chai😂
Geniusnabiy: The last question
Geniusnabiy: How did you celebrate yesterday?
Geniusnabiy: Or better put, how did you celebrate the women's day?

Me: It was a quite uneventful....
Me: Woke up, went to work, went home after work, had dinner, received some calls🙄, and started this chat with you😁

Geniusnabiy: It's quite chores full
Geniusnabiy: 😂
Geniusnabiy: Happy women's day Doris

Me: Yeah
Me: Thank you son...
Me: was nice having this discussion with you son
Me: Av a restful night

Geniusnabiy : Same here, good night

Me: Hey...
Me: I did not ask u 2 random questions....

Geniusnabiy: Okay
Geniusnabiy: Drop them when you are ready?

Me: Umm.... What's ur best food?
Me: 2. You said u were a polyglot, what other languages do u speak apart from English?

Geniusnabiy: My best food? That should be noodles and egg
Geniusnabiy: I speak French and a little hausa language

Okay, it's nice that he aired his views and all that. I am against any form of women violation and any form of domestic violence against either men or women. In my experience, women deliver as much domestic violence on men as men deliver on them. I have seen women hit men more times than I have seen men hit women. And when this happens, some dumb people have no issue with it. "be a gentleman" they tell d guy. However, the truth is men are less affected by the same magnitude of violence than women are. For instance, if a woman hits a man, he doesn't like it but he can handle it. If a man hits a woman tho, we expect the hospitals to show up and the BBC to bring their crew and discuss all about domestic violence. Women are naturally weaker becomes the argument. If u think so as a woman, don't be quick to hit. Let it be known that I am belligerently against anyone hitting anyone. Women seem to get a free pass on that (which is wrong) while men seem to have the world against them (which is right).
Lastly, what did he mean when he said women have more organs and so, have more purpose. That's just bullshit. Make I no start that argument. But it's like quote I saw that said women are superior to men. I think that's just patronizing. Perhaps because the interview was done on women's day.
On a final note, I am for women empowerment and women protection. But I am firmly against ideas that promote one gender over the other. From inequality arguments, we swiftly moved to women having more purpose. That seems like a dominance battle to me and not an equality issue.

Seun goddamn Thomas!😂😂
This could make a post on steemit you know, just add tags....

@seunword, this is quite a post you have written here. Your points are very cogent ones. But I don't really think you are looking at the direction Nabiy or myself are looking. I wish I could pick up this argument and spread it out nice and fine. But damn, I am tired of typing already. I should like to expound on this in a post though. And once I do, I should like you to read it.

You know what. Let me go and come back and read this post. It is looking yummy

It is.... Make sure you do😁

In the meanwhile, @doris-adioha, this post is a thorough one that has all the signs of not just a close relationship, but a honest and sincere conversation. The interactions are also expository. And Nabiy proved him a perfect gentleman. I wish you all the best, dear.

Oh my! Thank u dear!
Son, did you hear dat?..... You are a perfect gentleman, I am so proud of you.
