Canada is rapidly becoming Orwell’s worst nightmare.

Justin Trudeau’s proposed Bill C-63, the "Online Harms Act" passed First Reading in Canadian federal parliament a few days ago and if there is no objection from the NDP it will become law. It has been accused of establishing a dictatorship which would destroy free speech forever.

I downloaded the publicly available PDF of the proposed Act and found out that the critics are putting it too politely. This Act is more destructive than anything Trudeau has done so far.

Justin Trudeau was found by federal court to have acted illegally and unconstitutionally and now he’s come back with an answer which basically destroys the federal court. Our courts will be replaced by a Digital Safety Commission which will ignore rules of evidence and commandeer cops and judges to enforce its will.
