Did you know of Norah Vincent?

I didn't realize Norah Vincent had died, and this account of her life is fascinating and tragic.
Norah, if you didn't know, was a lesbianism feminist who (successfully) disguised herself as a man for a year and a half, in order to experience life living as a different gender - then wrote a book about it, called "Self-made Man" in 2006.
Her experiences changed her perspective on men significantly, making her realize that they weren't magically more privileged; secretly all misogynistic and patriarchal; or any of the other nonsense 3rd wave feminism has often preached.
She's someone modern Intersectional feminists should read, but after writing the book, she apparently became extremely depressed and suicidal. She eventually wrote another book about mental health institutions, which seems to have been a way to wallow in suicidal thoughts even more... Eventually taking her own life with the help of a "death doula".
This is sad, but very interesting.
