Trump does well on a teleprompter. He should carry one with him at all times. He played to the base, but so has every SOTU by every president ever. I thought the most telling part of the speech was what didn't happen. The Democrats might think that their refusal to stand up for even the obvious things might play well for them, but I think they are wrong. The dems lost the heartland. Not standing for unemployment continuing to go down or not standing for workers having more take-home pay will not play well for them in Michigan and PA. It just won't.
