All Dissenting Voices Being Crushed By Facebook & Others: WEB EXCLUSIVEsteemCreated with Sketch.

in #news6 years ago

As predicted, all dissident voices are being censored by Facebook and the other large social media platforms.
Here's my quick web-exclusive video explaining where things stand. Obviously the move to Steemit and other platforms needs to speed up.

I guess this upside of this is that we are having a profound effect, we are winning in the truth information Vrs. Propaganda and mind control. We are changing hearts , and minds, perhaps we have won already.

Yep, we totally should allow those platforms to fail. I say organize a mass account closing just prior to the next business quarter reports. Hit them in the pocketbook. Just look at what happened to Facebook, how much value they lost. We can do it again if we all quit at the same time. Oh, you bloviate too buddy, whether or not someone is an idiot is highly subjective though. For an "idiot" Jones' media empire impresses me to no end, maybe you meant idiot savant. (ツ)_/¯

I'm starting to think that the last real and effective protest in America was the Montgomery bus boycott. People need to stop all this LARPING bullshit and engage in real protest. Cancel your accounts, go somewhere where they care about American values freedom of speech etc... etc...

I like the idea of a mass account walkout. The only useful purpose of the existing platforms is to promote their replacements !

Alex Jones is a self professed idiot. But a very successful showman. In his early days he was very successful in getting a lot of people interested in the alternate media. It was a time of falling towers and editorial standards, embedded fake news and war porn. Sure there has been the odd unhinged rant, and lately some unconscionable fear peddling, but some credit must be given. Although to me, once I discovered this space, Jones and Infowars became irrelevant. So much better content was out there.

I still listen, but I listen to many radio hosts.

I just decided to stop using youtube a little over a week ago. Takes some willpower, and willingness to live without some things that may only be on youtube. I existed quite fine before those things existed, I'll survive again.

I instead use real.video, bitchute.com, dtube.video, and dlive.io for my current video needs.

They have their issues, but it is worth it to me to say F*ck you to youtube.

I wonder how long will it take for Alex Jones to discover Steemit and other decentralized platforms.

I've wondered the same thing. But will it enhance or detract from the platform ?

Free speech can never detract from the platform, @cattledog. You characterized him correctly as a “successful showman”. Let him open his show here. Take a million followers out of those F*book and YTube fools.

I agree. If it causes a mass migration of users to new (independent and blockchain driven) platforms, then that can only be a good thing.

The spin I can see them trying is "oh you can't trust anything you seen on Steemit, they even have that crazy Alex Jones posting there". But it's a narrative I think will ultimately fail.

Google don't need to create a new search engine for China. They just simple need to tweak the existing censorship (search) engine, which already memory holes countless websites and much "problematic" information. Unfortunately, since other search engine rely on customized feeds from Google, the results there also go missing.

Steemit has it's problems (bots, spam, whale wars and sometimes flakey Dtube), but it a platform with great upside. I think that sometimes new users who join simply look at the "Hot", "Trending" and "Promoted" feeds, not find familiar faces or substandard content and wonder what on earth they are doing here.

Many months ago, with assistance from a few other Steemit members, I put together an Index of interesting content providers (Yes @leecamp made it to the list in Part 3 ). I thought it might be a useful resource to help new and existing users find some familiar faces, and personalities and content providers that they didn't know were on the platform. I'm in the process of putting together Mk 2 of the index, and would love to hear of any new additions to the list via this thread

Make sure you put your videos on other sites besides youtube as well.

I shared it on steem. At least you know people are at least going to scroll past it :)

I'm sorry, but anyone still on Fedbook, is a fucking idiot.

We need more organizations like Redacted tonight to share the freedom of steemit with their users! Its really you guys who will make steemit main stream. All RT has to do is invest like 10k into steemit and they will have a voting power that will attract all the minnows who think they might get a drip. your viewership could migrate from youtube to D.tube. there is huge potential for growth with this decentralized platform that Redacted tonight and the RT network as a whole could really benefit from!!

What's to keep the system from purchasing steemit and silencing its dissenters??

Do not despair. Long before the internet we had a way to band together and communicate our thoughts and emotions. We are. It cannot be taken from us. If our intention is to seek and support the truth regardless of the cost to us, if we serve existence and reality, we will prevail. If not, it is good that we don't. Peace, harmony and goodwill.
