Marine amphibious tanks grant from South Korea (A Winardi)

Indonesia is a country that buys a large number of South Korean production weapons so that the relations between the two countries to produce weapons in cooperation are closely intertwined.

South Korean production armaments purchased by Indonesia include warships to land troops and tanks, 209 type submarines, T-50 Golden Eagle combat trainers, dozens of KIA jeeps KM series 420 for Marines, KM 250 2.5 ton trucks, 16 KT-1 Wongbe trainer aircraft, Baracuda ranpur racer for Brimob, K3 machine guns, K7 semi-automatic machine guns, and others.

So much of South Korean weapons purchased by Indonesia, so as a potential customer, Indonesia has also received a bonus of 10 amphibious tanks LV7 which became the mainstay of defense equipment for Marine Corps Navy.

South Korean amphibious tanks have even used marines in several attractions to commemorate the anniversary of the TNI by jumping from land to sea.

Uniquely South Korean troops would not dare to maneuver combat using LV7 amphibious tanks by jumping from the cliff and then 'nyemplung' into the sea water because of high risk can drown.

In addition to getting a number of tank grants, to date Indonesia-South Korea also continues to brew the cooperation program for the manufacture of fighter generation 4.5 KF-X / IF-X.
