[dTube] Trump Blocks Release of Dem Memo on Russia Probe
The hypocrisy is STUNNING
Donald Trump has blocked the release of the Democratic response memo to the Republican / Devin Nunes memo in a clear-cut case of Trumpian hypocrisy and propaganda.
Trump originally said he'd make a decision about the memo on the basis of recommendations from the DOJ and intelligence agencies. They had no problem with the memo's release...and yet Trump blocked it's release.
Bottom line: This is simply a political football that Trump is using to obstruct the Russia investigation

What crime is President Trump obstructing investigation of?
IIRC he sent it back to the Intelligence Committee because there were sources and methods unredacted in the memo.
In your opinion, are there any crimes worth investigating out of the last administration? If so, which?

Whataboutism at it's finest.
So I'm late here obviously, but how about those 13 indictments for Russians interfering in the elections?
But we should really be talking about the last president right? Oh, but not the one before him right?
Justice done though the heavens may fall... regardless of how many presidents ago.
That said -- re-read my statement:
Are you implying that the indictment indicates that then Candidate Trump was coordinating with those 13 Russians or their handlers in order to "interfere" in the election?
That's not what I read.
To reiterate, yes we should be talking about the last president since there are plenty of things worthy of investigation. Among those, whether the White House knew/approved of the FISA warrants listening to an American citizens' communications, particularly when they're your political enemies.
Sure, investigating the current President's possible conspiracy with a hostile foreign power is only as important as determining if the previous president knew warrants were being approved.
So sitting presidents are technically allowed and encouraged to use the national intelligence monitoring tools on competing candidates during election campaigns. Got it.
I will remember you said that in 2020.
How many of your political heroes are compromised and blackmailed do you think? What do you think is held over them? Do you think any of them hold compromising material over others?
Time to show how old you really are.
That's not what I said.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that a sitting President should absolutely have any candidate investigated if there is evidence of then conspiring with a foreign power.
To be clear, if the Steele dossier had implicated Hillary I would hope Obama would have investigated her.
What if Hillary actually committed actual crimes?
Like... improper storage and dissemination of classified documents. That shit ends careers for the little people in military and government.
But then you'd have to ask 'Why'd you destroy the hard drives and phones of you and your staff?'
But that would just be the start of the thread.
Why am I focused on Hillary Clinton? Because she and those around her committed crimes with assumed impunity. They know it. Many Americans know it. It appears President Trump knows it.
Again, I ask, how many of your political heroes have files on them inches thick? Who holds those files? Think its just democrat v republican? Go google Denny Hastert and tell me what sorts of things he's done in his political career to 'avoid negative news'? Want to make a bet in Steem that Adam Schiff gets rolled up at some point for something bad before the 2020 election? :)
For you it is clearly just Democrat vs. Republican. You don't seem to want Trump investigated while you want Hillary to be investigated for every single unfounded investigation Trump, Alex Jones and an army of Russian trolls made up.
I don't have political heroes. Nice try though.
Do I want to take a bet that Democrats will be accused of anything before the election? No, because they absolutely will be.
Because that is exactly the tactics Russia and the GOP just used successfully.
Just another day in paradise...
I'll give you the benefit of doubt and assume your not that stupid and are just really anti-trump. I don't like Trump either, but your journalism is just repeating the haphazard work of CNN. The "dems" said not to expose it because it would show classified information. The memo got out and they call it a nothingburger. The "dem" memo would have just been an attack on Trump based on ridiculous conclusions from thin air. The whole russian hacker scandal is just a lie to make 2020 easier to win and to cover up the fact that Hillary lost and over $10 billion was spent on her campaign. If I lost $10 billion and had connections at the highest level and wanted to win 2020, I'd say anything too. Talk about the issues like wages, taxes, healthcare, voter rights, but please stop this garbage - you make the left look like children.
You really think Hillary spent $10 billion on her campaign? Reread that number. There is also no way she will run in 2020.
David does talk about taxes, healthcare, voters rights, etc. Just because you are in denial about russian collusion doesn't mean people should stop talking about it.
lol
Look it up, her campaign cost $10 billion.. you can't just say things are false because they sound ridiculously embarrassing. Actually look it up. Trump won't be impeached/indicted -- that would have happened months ago. Actually read the language they use about this whole situation - it's all very vague because they have NO CONCLUSIONS/ EVIDENCE. Oooh Trump is hiding 'something,' ooh they 'hacked' the election, a bunch of suspense building to ride out his first term. It's a joke and doesn't deserve any discussion.
Her campaign cost a record breaking 1.2 Billion. You are exaggerating by a factor of about 10... I am not "embarrassed" on behalf of Hillary- I did not vote for her nor do I care what her campaign costed. I can see when someone is making up facts on the fly, which you are clearly doing.
The russia scandal is not a hoax, and even if it was completely false Trump has still been a terrible president... if you are hoping dems lose in 2020 you will need a better candidate.
Also it's not about Hillary 2020 ofc, it's about the dems winning 2020...
and it's also to distract from the content of the leaks - the dem primary was rigged by using their funds to promote anti-semetic-bernie articles, they got millions in overseas donations illegally, john podesta does bloodbath rituals and has paintings of chained up beaten children, the list goes on. It's hard to swallow but it's all true and available.
"The "dem" memo would have just been an attack on Trump based on ridiculous conclusions from thin air. "
Which is completely different than the Nunes memo based on ridiculous conclusions from thin air!

well I never , I would love to be a fly on the wall of that gleaming white house !
Don't you look foolish now that Rosenstein stated no americans knowingly or wittingly colluded with the russians LOL If your so independant show some backbone to the facts. Here is a Jimmy Dore video that explains the memo. You could take some pointers from him on how to be a better unbiased and objective journalist.
Nunes sure proved hes nothing more than a snake. This is all from his sneak run to the WH last March. It was to cover one of Trumps lies regarding Obama wiretap. Now Adam Schiff's memo held up. The peak of hypocrisy. I think it will be redacted then in true Trump style he will still refuse to release it. Trump is a egomaniac with no self control or moral compass. That shows with his statements regarding Rob Porter. Now come to find out there is at least 30 WH staffers operating without a permanent clearance. Good coverage David. I follow you, and upvote bro.
Hmm... which agency/dept decides on clearance approvals...?
The WH at the end of the day.
Structurally, thats not how it works. Office of Personnel Management handle both the administrative and interviews with family/friends/business partners.
OPM is an independent agency.
Check.
David, I looked for this story at the Huffington Post, CNN, and The Drudge Report, but can find nothing on it. I would like to comment on it after I have learned what both sides have to say on the issue. Where did you see it? Thanks!
There are dozens and dozens of articles about it
It's a story from back on Friday

While the hypocrisy is indeed stunning, I would be lying if I said I was even remotely surprised. Hell, it's not easy to be surprised by much of anything anymore. A tornado made of fire and literal razorblades could hit the west coast and we'd just go on complaining about Trump because that's the way they want.
You're absolutely correct
Good opinion
