Provisional ColorlessPaper - The Marlians Project

This is a provisional paper introducing the Marlians project. Marlians is a SCOT-enabled steem-interface that allows you to earn MARLIANS. You can already get to use it on 'https://www.marlians.com'. 

'Staking' will be enabled some 2-hours from now.

You can also post to 'https://www.marlians.com' from any steem-interface, by adding '#marlians' as one of your tags.

The Marlians project will have a ColorlessPaper; neither black or white. It is a side-project emanating from the Teardrops SMT ecosystem, which has already produced three steem-based social platforms (and the Teardrops tokens), namely 'https://steemgigs.org', 'https://ulogs.org' and 'macrohard.pro'.

Being that TEARDROPS is to be used on the 'three aforementioned social platforms', we have decided to create the Marlians project, also in a bid to help us better evolve the Teardrops enterprise model.

This means that among other things, project 'Marlians' is guarded by the tenets of the Teardrops SMT ecosystem and applies the same paradigms.

One of the core paradigm of the Teardrops SMT ecosystem is, "it is built around a growing grey-list of certified uloggers". Again, this list is neither 'black or white', meaning that every(any)one can get certified by completing the 4-simple steps here. 

This growing 'grey-list' is our scarce-model, indicating that the MARLIANS tokens, just like TEARDROPS, should succeed whether 'bulls or bears', because 'humans' are involve.

Our enterprise model actively involves 'humans', a close-knit community that moves together and to this effect, our token distribution is modeled with 'certified uloggers' in mind. Also, all exclusive UI-perks and the ability to oversee 'communities' across our ecosystem is available primarily to 'certified uloggers'.

We will enable staking on 'https://www.marlians.com' and analyze its use for 7-days prior to publishing 'a more revised-paper'; one containing clearer details about our token. It is evident can't come up with exact-numbers and details until after we spent a whole week analyzing the use of the site and the user-experience. 

One reason for this is because of how our model is set up. We have keen interest in the true 'voice' of our community and analyzing this voice 'live' is an important part of our formation. As reiterated earlier, our model is built around a growing grey-list of certified uloggers.

That being said, we have a clear overview of our enterprise-model and what we want to accomplish and our core interest is in 'real human growth'.

We feel that 'blockchain' serves a more testimonial purpose as a 'mentality-adjuster', moreso than 'just a reward-distributor'.

Here Is A Breakdown Of The Near-Term Plan, Also Covering The Token-Dynamics

Note the this is provisional. We will have a 'revised paper' with better details after 7-days. 

• Staking on https://www.marlians.com will be enabled some 2-hours from now!
• To play a role in its early distribution, you can get some MARLIANS on steem-engine. We currently have some 299,000 tokens on the market and we have put up a sell-price of '0.2/STEEM'. We have done this to attract investors who are likelier to help spread 'the distribution', especially at the outset where users are few. Over the course of the first 7-days, token price may fluctuate as needed.
• For a better distribution of the pool, another portion of tokens will be issued and staked by @surpassinggoogle 'starting with a small amount' and increased as needed. All of this will be accounted for on our revised-paper. 
• Over the course of the first 7-days prior to the first payout, selected 'certified users' and the core team-members will be issued a 'measure of the token' to help with distribution as needed. Again more-detailed numbers will be declared in our revised colorlesspaper.
• The current 'pool emission' may be increased after we have analyzed the first '7-days (since staking was enabled)' and the 'new emission' where applicable, will be announced on the revised paper
• We will announce details related to the initial token-supply, its distribution and team-details etc after 7-days on our revised-paper
• There is a likelihood that we will effect a 'mining pool'. This will be announced where applicable.
• We will consider doing ongoing-drops over the course of time but its will be 'tear-drops', not airdrops. This will be covered elaborately on our revised paper, as the 'initial supply' amount is established. 

About The Use Of 'https://www.marlians.com'.

Though Marlians has a theme, it is open to everyone as 'nations are locations'. We also welcome 'all forms of content' but we prefer ulogging-style content, one that is simple, created 'fresh' each time and contains entirely, 'excerpts of you'. You can read more about ulogging here.

To inculcate this culture, posts from uloggers present on '#ulog' will also appear on the site.

Our homepage is crafted with virality in mind. Thus, we are targeting 'bring masses on to steem'. We have targeted a particular location for a start, so that we can ride of a current wave/trend that is currently present/buzzing in Nigeria. 

We are familiar with this demography in terms of 'bringing about growth for project Marlians', thus, we have themed 'project Marlians' around the location 'Nigeria' for this purpose. This way we can create 'new social trends' and ride off 'existing social trends' dynamically, to initiate and stir 'growth' for the Marlians project and bring more eyes to steem and blockchain overall.

When it comes to attracting investment, our target market will be the 'clout industry'. We want to tap into a very important aspect of steem's 'proof of brain' that hasn't been fully-tapped. This way we can continue to evolve our own model called 'proof of tears'.

Speaking of a 'value proposition' (in relation to 'investors'), when it comes to steem's 'proof of brain', one key aspect is "the trending page". Whether it emanates drama or sheds light on all the positives, it contains the actual 'voice of the community and especially the 'voice' from 'behind-the-scenes'. The trending page is a sticky aspect of steemit/steem. More importantly, it incentivizes people to buy steem. 

Yes, the power of the 'trending page' has not been explored enough.

On Marlians, we want to love and propagate each 'trending page' i.e the 'trending page of each ta as if it is the 'trending page of the homepage', to expand our 'value' proposition potential and keep this potential 'dynamic'.

Our aim thus is to create 'a buzz' around each tag in relation to current social-trends emanating from Nigeria and create new social-trends. 

Making each tag across 'https://www.marlians.com' sticky, we can now target social influencers on social-media platforms like 'Instagram etc', offering 'targeted clout'. 

e.g where we make '#mamaput' viral internally, we can take the resulting stats to an Instagram influencer who has interest in food or restaurants and propose the possibility of staking STEEM and MARLIANS, for the potential of reaching 'an active targeted community'. This can apply to every tag.

These days even simple 'shout-outs' constitute value!

As we begin to garner a bigger populace on 'https://www.marlians', grown autonomously courtesy of our 'certified uloggers', we will carry the same 'value' proposition to large advertising bodies (many who lose millions-per-year to un-targeted ADs e.g pay-per-click) with our stats, offering them "very-target clout" on the basis of investing in MARLIANS and STEEM. They can manage to keep their money, access a trending page that is already-sticky to a target audience, and not only attain conversions-in-sales but grow an actual community of 'true fans'.

Ofcourse, we will start internally with our existing community of steemians. Certified uloggers will be able to oversee tag-spaces across our site, encouraging them to grow it autonomously. These ones will also be empowered with extra-influence (voting-power) courtesy of our support. Besides, users will be able to feature and promoted their noble dreams and projects on each sticky-tag in exchange for the MARLIANS tokens etc.

We will have a detailed copy of 'our sinks', published in our revised paper. There will be many sinks!!!

Overall, we intend to 'host the masses', meaning that 'https://www.marlians.com' will be open to non-steemians too. With upcoming development, they will be able to interact or login to our site, availed of 'basic posting-capabilities; but they will need to be signed-up to steem to earn MARLIANS.

Note that 'Ulogs' will also automatically show up 'https://www.marlians' as '#ulog' is a key aspect of the Marlians project. We will look to build an entire-feed for uloggers, propagating the concept of ulogging further to the masses.

Use of funds

What is raised from the 'current allocation of MARLIANS on steem-engine', will go towards furthering the development of 'https://www.marlians.com' as well as 'the development of steemgigs.org, ulogs.org, teardrops.network, macrohard.pro'

We will also keep some 'powered-up as a steem' and diversify our staked-currencies with a 'portfolio of every possible steem-based token' for the purpose of curating our growing community, primarily focusing this extra voting-power on 'certified uloggers'.

This means that where you add in 'marlians' or use 'https://www.marlians.com'  (which allows all forms of content) and you also add tags like #sportstalk, #pal #spt #aaa etc and we have accrued tokens on those platforms, we are likelier to find your posts for curation. 

This also means that holding MARLIANS, will enable you to earn extra tokens.

We have already started this. For instance, where you have a Sportstalk post, simply add in '#marlians' and we can curate your resulting content with our Sportstalk stake. Same applies to #pal, #steemleo #aaa #spt #lassecash etc where we have already gathered some stake.
