Manna's dedication to Steem Blockchain
We at the Manna Foundation are fully committed to Steem. This was an arm of our marketing that we felt imperative to pursue. Our belief is that Steem is going to expand as the cryptocurrency market enters the populous.
Being a token provider ourselves, we understand the potential this new mechanism provides. Our goal is to eradicate poverty from around the world. Using a token to accomplish this end means we are taking funding to another level. We simply are looking to fund hundreds of millions of people on a weekly basis.
We only joined recently. Thus far, due to personnel tending to other projects, our availability is rather limited on here. We are hoping to change that.
To show a commitment to this blockchain, we made took a couple actions.
Being a non-profit, we depend a great deal upon the donations of others to meet our expenses. One of the moves we made is we took $500 and purchased Steem on the open market. We are having an issue with moving it from the exchange. Once that is overcome, we will power up those tokens as an investment in this blockchain.
We were recently alerted to the initiative put together by the @steembasicincome team. Being a basic income token, this holds great allure to us. We went ahead and tried to purchase a few units for those who did so for us. Being new to the platform, one of our personnel did not realize some of the technical details on here meaning the "@' sign was left off the memo. We are working to correct this.
This is an initiative that we will continue to support as our resources allow.
Over the next few months, our intention is to utilize more of the Steem applications that are available. We are going to add to the marketing mix by putting together videos, live streaming shows, and interviews. Once again, personnel availability is a concern right now since we are working on so many projects. We ask for a bit of patience in this area.
We are still being guided through the nuances of Steemit. Our intention is to be a support those people who support us. The marriage between Steem and Manna looks like it is growing. We are regularly fed links to posts about Manna put together by people on Steem. This is encouraging since we know many "Steemians" are also getting Manna distribution.
One of the things we learned is that one of the central tenets of support on here is upvoting the works of others. The value that is applied is based upon the amount of Steem Power an account has. This was one of the reasons we decided to buy what Steem we could. In addition to being a worthwhile investment that will provide value to the Manna organization, it also improves our standing on here.
We want to do more though. With our resources being tight, we are limited to our buying which we are committed to doing on an on-going basis. It was brought to our attention that some assist projects they believe in by delegating Steem Power.
We view the Steem we acquire as an asset to back the Manna token. Our desire is that people who are receiving Manna will aid our cause by delegating some Steem Power to the @mannacurrency account. One member already committed to doing this over the next week.
The upvoting of comments, blogs, and purchasing of SBI units for our followers is the reason for this request. We would like to show our support for those people on Steemit who also help us.
None of us are going to change the world on our own. It is going to take the efforts of all of us moving in the same direction. We feel that our ideals resonate with many on Steem. Our intention is to bring as many together to try and solve some of the problems before us.
Steem is a place we will focus attention upon. We concluded it is a worthwhile cause.
To get the weekly distribution of Manna, go to http://www.mannabase.com to sign up.
Welcome to Steem! I just delegated you some SP to help you get started on the platform. Big fan of what you're doing.
Thank you for the wonderful gift. We have another delegation that came in also.
It all helps.
We are acquiring SBI as we can. Both initiatives tend to tie in together.
As I registered on Mannabase not long ago, it is nice to see you here indeed!
Nice post. As a recipient of Manna distributions and a Steemit enthusiast, it is always fun to see those two come together. There is a bit of a learning curve here so it is awesome to see you all leaning into it. If you have not heard of Steemauto.com yet, it may offer some useful tools. For example. you can schedule your posts ahead of time. If you'll be doing daily/weekly update this may help with time/staff management. Cheers.
Thank you for the lead on Steemauto.com.
We will certainly check it out.
Yes I agree that Manna Project and Steem could benefit huge from each other! Good work guys!
Big fan on Steem and a fan of Manna too. Glad to see y'all stretching into the Steemit world, I think it will be a worthwhile edeavor for you. Upvoted and resteemed! :)
Hi, @mannacurrency "One of the moves we made is we took $500 and purchased Steem on the open market..."
if you did not solve your issue yet,
I just wanted to let you know, that it is much easier to use Litecoin, ETH, or BTC to buy Steem/SBD/SP using @BlockTrades to make the transfer. trying to send steem in from the outside open market is a nightmare for some reason, as you have encountered.
you can trade your Steem for one of the coins mentioned above in the market you have your Steem in, and then with LTC or BTC, etc... go to Blocktrades, and in a matter of minutes the transfer will be complete.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for the suggestion.
One of our members had an account so he said he would do it for us.
We learned a lesson there.
Great news glad you are investing time and money here and i look forward to more from you soon.
Hi @mannacurrency im a huge fan of the ubi ideals. What I recommend would be for your team to check out @platforms and the team behind them. They may be able to help bridge manna and steem in a much more streamlined fashion. Much love! Keep changing the world!
Thank you @dizzyjay for the suggestion. We will certainly look into that.
We are looking for ways to expand and grow.
Very happy to see you have a presence here; Manna is a great project and Steemit might be an excellent way to expand your horizons and help get more people into Manna.
I am a part of Steem Basic Income and generally a big proponent of Basic Income initiatives.
=^..^=
Welcome to steem, Manna! I'm an advocate of UBI (and Manna) and have written some articles on here earlier in my blogging activity. @scotsantens is also here, so you should follow him and communicate with him at some point. I look forward to following your activities here!
He is involved in Manna as a consultant/adviser.
Scott is a leading expert in the field of UBI. We are fortunate that he is assisting us in the capacity that he does.
I've been following @scottsantens for a while and am a patreon supporter. I'll check out your blog too, @revo. Love both the sbi and Manna initiatives. Community building Community! :-)
Yeah, it's fantastic! It's hard to see into the crystal ball of cryptocurrency, given it's such a young and fluid environment at the moment, but it seems to me there's great potential to use crypto for a UBI. Here's an article I wrote ages about crypto, UBI (and Iceland banking) - https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@revo/what-can-iceland-and-cryptocurrencies-tell-us-about-a-new-monetary-system-and-a-universal-basic-income
I enjoyed reading that article about Iceland, @revo. Someone just asked me about Iceland's experiments with currency, and you summed it up nicely. Maybe you could write an update, as that one's not "ages ago" like you said above, but 9 months old. :-)
I especially liked what you said here:
