How to prioritize your life when everything is a priority?

in #life3 years ago

What we spend the majority of our time on reveals our life priorities. This indicates that what you believe to be your top priority may not be so. "What are your top priorities in life?" For example, "my health, my family, and my profession." Can we argue that the priority is the same as in the health, family, and career order if the person who says this works till late, can spend little time with his family, eats by skipping meals, and cannot get enough sleep?

Throughout my career in corporate and start-up environments, I have always placed a high value on “work.” When it comes to work, I may easily fall into the background, even if unintentionally. I was rushing around trying to catch up with everyone and everything, but I was neglecting myself. Outside, I was quite responsible, but it was as if my verse was being passed down to me. However, I could not be "successful" for myself if I did so. None of my personal goals were progressing as I had hoped. My interrogations began as a result of my rising dissatisfaction. Looking back, I see how unhealthy my actions were. But it took me a long time to realise that this unhealthy style of functioning had to reveal itself as a physical illness at the moment.

"Love yourself" is a phrase we've been hearing a lot lately. I'm sure that makes little sense to the majority of folks. What exactly does it imply to love oneself? How am I supposed to love myself? Antin kuntin kuntin kuntin kuntin kun It is possible to love yourself by appreciating and prioritising yourself.

A person who values himself, for example, does not do what I outlined above because he understands that his own pleasure, health, and ambitions are more essential. He works hard to achieve the goals he sets for himself and does not procrastinate. Work should be a means for him to attain his personal objectives; it should not be a goal that must be "sacrificed" for the objectives of others. Prioritizing one's own needs is attempting to be physically, socially, emotionally, and psychologically healthy. He is conscious of his own needs and, more importantly, makes time for them. Taking care of oneself is part of loving yourself.

One of the most insightful ideas I've ever heard was that just because you can do something doesn't imply you should. Thankfully, we are all intelligent individuals with active minds. But there are instances when it simply isn't enough. When we think of our capacity as a plate, we place a lot of pressure on ourselves, as if we were trying to fit everything from the open buffet onto the same plate to avoid making the same mistake twice. It's not simple to set limits and say no, but I need to think clearly and assess whether I'm prioritising myself in the process.

Is the new job that has been added to my to-do list actually necessary? Is it truly necessary? Is it conceivable to put off other tasks that I won't be able to do in the time I have to spend to this critical task? Urgent work will always arrive, and all work will always be completed. When you force it, you might be able to complete it all at once, but it comes at a cost. After a lengthy period of high performance, the human mind and body eventually deteriorate. Only a person with the desire to do so can put an end to it. I'd want to remind you once more that just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

It sometimes take a lot of suffering to appreciate the importance of the things that actually matter in life. Of course, I hope that no one has to go through psychologically tough and terrible experiences in order to see their own value. As a result, one of the most effective methods to learn is to draw on the experiences of others. Listening to oneself can also provide you with a wealth of information.

Consider what you spend the most of your time on when determining your priorities. This is an excellent indicator. The most significant pluses you can add to your life are prioritising yourself, spending time for yourself, and listening to yourself. First and foremost, you are the most important factor.

I wish you a happy and healthy life...
