An end of the month binge
I know it isn't the end of the week yet but, I am going to pretend it is and splurge as you see, there is reason to celebrate. I am not much of a party animal these days and tend to keep a low profile so Thursday night binging is unusual.
Two things happened though:
- I got a package delivered from Australia
- I went grocery shopping
Sounds like something to celebrate doesn't it? Well. I already knew what was in the package and have been eagerly awaiting it from my brother @galenkp. Vegemite Shapes biscuits and Milo. Cheers bro.
What was very unexpected was that my second favourite drink in the world was just sitting there on the shelf. I thought it was a mirage ant first and my wife laughed at how big my eyes got.
Bundaberg Ginger Beer.
Hell yeah.
I know that this doesn't sound so exciting but the last time I had one was in 2009, the last time I was in Australia. To find it on a shelf at my local supermarket in Finland is highly unlikely.
I haven't tried it yet - I am going to have it with a nice steak and salad.
It has been a very long month that is coming to an end, my first working another job while running my own consultancy. Next month is going to be longer and the one after, I start travelling internationally on top. I scraped through my hours though and managed 165 for the month at the new job, squeezed in 60-80 hours of my own business sessions and then my Steemit activity on top. I think it is time for a beer to round it out.
Ginger Beer that is.
My wife is cooking the steak so, that is my queue to cut up the salad ingredients.

I had already gone to the post office and had the box in the trolley and I was so surprised to find the there on the shelf end. Now I will have to keep buying them all so they keep stocking it :D

Savour those Shapes. Not available anymore. Was just an Aus Day thing I think. Good that you can get Bundaberg ginger beer though. Good stuff that! Goes down well with Barnacle Bills. 🤣

Hi Taraz. Funny you say that but we had a special on Bundaberg last week at our local supermarket and I also bought some. 245 hours for the month is an average of 8 hours every day. That is really rough and that doesn't include Steem as that is a hobby and helps you relax lol.
I have never seen it here before, I have to make sure I keep buying it so they keep stocking it. =)
I can see the thought process of the shopkeeper. Target the one Aussie who is loaded with Steem. At least they have it and it means it is listed now, if they stop you can still request it.
I think they should have an Australian section in every supermarket globally as we are well known for our culinary skills. =)
Love a ginger beer. Enjoy, mate. Hopefully they keep stocking them.
My 'number one drink' is a FU Iced Coffee but, I am not holding my breath on that turning up here.
Before midday; absolutely agree.
After a long, hot day though; a chilled, Bundy ginger beer is incredible.

Also, next month is technically gonna be shorter, soo...:P

Certainly well deserved mate! How great are those new shapes? They're my favourite.
They were great! Even my wife (who weirdly doesn't like Vegemite) enjoyed them :)

It really was a nice hour. Now I ma back to doing my end of month invoicing (good) and paying bills (bad).
Fully deserved! That's a lot of hours by anyone's schedule.
Yeah it has been a bit of a trial by fire this month but I hope I can survive until Steem is 20 dollars at least. Christmas?? ;D
