RE: I need your help on quitting alcohol (Thoughts on alcohol, being social, running and meditation)
Well done for sharing. I used to drink loads at university and during the first few years after. Since then lots has changed in my life - I moved town for work, I got a girlfriend and I found running. All had an effect on my desire to drink.
I don't like the idea of cutting anything out completely (unless it is damaging you) and rarely drink in the week and only one or two beers or gins at the weekend.
There are also still times when I get on it and drink more (celebrations, parties, weddings) but these are rarer occassions and I plan to write off the next day for recovery.
Running and wanting to improve my running has been the biggest influence on my drinking.
Hope you can find a way to balance your drinking.
Hey @runningdanw, thank you for your comments and sharing your story.
I am doing some more writing, on my diary on Evernote, to reflect upon my relationship with drinking and what to do about it. I will share with a more structured post soon. Thank you again!
You're welcome. Sounds like you're in control and have a sensible approach.
