RE: Individuation: Making the Darkness Conscious
Lady of Liberty has eyelids like shiny angelic mirrors.. when her eyes are open she will melt your heart and when she closes them they reveal your true reflection
Id like to add that the process of individuation is a continuous one over a lifetime of awareness. I don't think there is a beginning or end.
I think that individuation is a path that we can choose to take or try and detour away from it at any given moment.
The longer you stay on the path, the more you will be challenged to grow. The longer you stay off the path, the more suffering you accumulate.
However, I've found that no matter how far out or how long you dwindle in the dark alleys, you can always return to the path of light once you're tired of suffering.
I the richest rewards will be reaped if we can choose to forge the habit of staying on the path longer and cultivate a willingness to acknowledge and overcome weakness more often. We all have a fully functional compass inside of us and its called our emotions where true north is Love and the map is the patterns that we manifest.
@nthaxis why thank you so much for your kind words and feedback!
I resonate with what you're saying. It is an endless process that one will never finish in their lifetime because even if you get to the greatest peak.. there's always going to be more room for growth! It's hard as a human to acknowledge the non-linear nature of consciousness.
It seems as you make this journey, things actually get harder, not easier. But it's a worthy trade-off as you become stronger and wiser, things become more meaningful altogether. It's an anomaly that we live in such an anti-pain culture though sometimes pain is needed to break though to new levels of consciousness. I agree though that the suffering can be lessened if one makes the effort to consistently follow their intuition and be honest with their self.
You reminded me of a quote I recently stumbled upon: "Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it" -Rumi
