RE: Let's Talk About Intermittent Fasting - How It Changed My Mind and Body

in #life7 years ago

omg Yas I didnt know you did it as well! I have tried it 6 months ago for about 6 months in summer, that is what helped me to lose weight and stay in focus. I tried it all as well, i was less patient than you, I did 12 hours, that didnt change anything, then I did 16 and it worked a bit! Then I tried 18 hours and that was really hard but worked much better. Then finally the only one that really worked for me was 24 hour fasting. So I would stop eating at 8 pm in evening and would only eat the day after in morning, and that was the best thing I have ever tried and even though its really hard - it helped my energy, my brain and my weight! It is amazing how incredible you feel by not eating and giving your body a break. One thing is once you stop, its really hard to get back in, and you do have to build up the fasting every day! Really great article hun!! xx

Wow I had no idea you had tried either! That's great, Alla. I think the best way is to find an amount of hours which are manageable for you every day. Otherwise, you end up just giving up and hating it. If the 24 hours of fasting works for you (wow, btw! That sounds so tough!) then maybe you could continue to do that once per month - say on the 1st of every month so you remember. xx
