I need this.
I need this.
You can't tell, but I said those two different ways.
The first is how I said it in Top Decking. It's kind of cute and desperate, I think.... NO NO! I'm wrong. mis-memory. It's how I say it in my mind for the line in Gentle Werewolf that I haven't shot, so I haven't ever actually said it. In the scene, Tom has just woken up from his first night as a werewolf and so, of course, he has no clothes on. He's in a park. It's played for laughs, hopefully. He's trying to get out of the park without being a creepy naked weirdo. So he steals someone's yoga mat while their back is turned, but then they turn and see him while he conceals himself with the yoga mat, and he kind of lamely explains, "I need this." to which she responds, " I see that" before he backs away into the underbrush. He backs...lamely is not a good word to use generally. Because it connects "bad" with "can't walk." I need a better word. He back sheepishly. yes. That's the word I needed both times perhaps, and I'll bet there's better ones even than that. Pretend I never said "lamely" Like, I knew I didn't want to use that word even as I couldn't think of another. and lo and behold another came to me, but not until I got through the thought.
Hmm. HMMPH.
ANyways. there's that hopefully cute, sheepish way of saying it, and then there's desperation, maybe anger
