RE: Hello! I'm a filmmaker and photographer from California..
THANK YOU. That's great advice. I hope I didn't post to much my first hour but I got excited and carried away. On Instagram and Youtube and what not I usually lurk more than post. That is if posting once a day is not a lot! :)
The rule is, if you post more then 4 times a day you'll get no rewards for your posts. However some people choose to post a lot for the reason to get noticed quickly.
That's not the rule. After 4 posts your rewards on subsequent posts are gradually reduced along a curve.
Thanks for explaining
Copy! It won't happen again.
Question, is this a rule in the architect's design of the platform or is it just a general rule of thumb among users?
@mariande, When I first started, I wanted to post every few hours. Lol. I've heard you should do no more than 4 posts a day. Don't know a lot about the internals of steemit. I can tell you, that I'm addicted to it. I so enjoy meeting new users like yourself. You will do well if you start commenting like crazy and be loyal to the same users. Its not hard because if you like the original content of a user, you will want to return to read their newest post. Be clever with your comments and look at it as a part time job that doesn't pay. You're now a steemit intern.
Great tip! I'm not very witty, so I'll probably say less! But it doesn't sound like that hurts. :)
It's made by design to discourage using bots
I love it.
