- I've even seen the claim that a metal detector company would benefit
physical evidence and analysis is akin to the magician's wand
they can be; staged, counterfieited, manufactored.
that's why it's important to keep everything in mind as a possibility, not just the things we want to believe
Exactly @stevescoins. It's so easy to get caught up in what we want to see... our own confirmation bias that is truly is best to take in information, synthesize what you can, spin out theories with minimal bias and iterate on that process as new information comes in.
This is going to be a nightmare because you have to factor in government incompetence as part of the disinformation campaign.
and you can have all of the above, to make it more complicated.

Yup... but I sincerely doubt that it is that simple. That's what my confirmation bias is telling me. :)
Whether these types of events are organic or synthetic is largely immaterial - if not completely undiscoverable - at this point. Simulacra and Simulation.
