Thinking About Disinformation Warfare...
I wrote a post late (for me) last night when a confluence of information combined in my mind. One of the key parts of that was about the Marines allegedly landing near the CIA and being there to prevent a coup attempt or even allegedly do something about Operation Mocking Bird. I wrote a post about this and several other different things that combined in my mind and seemed to together to be indicating certain things. The CIA and Marines part came from April Lajune on Youtube yesterday. I actually encountered her for the first time yesterday. It turns out @titusfrost had looked into and pretty much debunked that earlier. I just hadn't seen it.
We must be vigilant. In the alternative media there is a vulnerability. If "sources" can state things that are false they can do damage to the alt media concept. It is important to protect the credibility of Alt Media when possible as Steemit and what we write here is also an Alternate Media.
April LaJune is someone I'm going to watch for a bit to see what she is doing.
There is another Ex-CIA operative Robert David Steele. He is another one of those that approaches it with mega "appeal to authority" and makes huge claims. He does mix in what he is saying with some things that are going on. I have begun to wonder if he is actually "Ex-CIA" or if he in reality is still working for them and is simply poisoning the well of Alternative Media.
This has been nagging at me for two reasons.
First I happened to watch an Alex Jones interview with him a couple of months ago. It all seemed standard fare for most of the interview. Then near the end of the interview Steele stated that Children are Kidnapped and taken to a secret base on Mars. Alex didn't endorse that and you could see he was a bit taken back by that. The interview ended a little bit after that. Of course for quite some time Mainstream Media was talking about how Alex Jones thought children were Kidnapped and taken to Mars. That didn't come from Alex. That came from Robert David Steele. It became a useful attack point against Infowars. It became a nice propaganda piece.
Not long ago I was watching another interview from someone that had nothing to do with Infowars and in that Robert David Steele stated the NSA captures "Every email and phone call" which is false, and impossible. I posted explaining how this is a myth and he responded "You don't know as much as you think you do." Yet, this happened to be my area of expertise. It is part of what I do for a living.
So I wrote a detail steemit post on the subject.

This does make me think if that is his job. Keep people distracted by mixing in disinformation. He has to mix it in with some information people believe and it muddies things.
Could April be another person like this? I don't know yet. I'll watch for a bit, and I recommend others pay attention and be willing to question "authority" figures as well.
I would like to add a Caveat that I do leave the door open that this may not be the case. They could simply be misinformed and be those people that view themselves as the fountain of "truth". I can't say.
All I can say is be vigilant.

I've been watching her for a while (until I suffered misinformation overload) Robt David Steele lost me when he said to lay off the Maccobys during the Pizzagate investigation (they're the ones behind Friends of the Orphans- Michael, the father is a psyops specialist for the Agency and involved with The Frankfurt School)

Check out his interview with Sarah Westall from yesterday....And RDS did not actually say there ARE children sex slaves on Mars, he said he was told that by a source he trusted. If you can believe in Alex Jones but not everything he says (he clearly doesn't either, but instead often promotes the popular beliefs of his viewers-- and believe me, I am a big AJ fan)) why do you hold RDS to a different standard? On this nothing mars thing and the data collection point? Don't you think the recent indictments and massive round ups of criminals and sex perverts was achieved by analyzing the mass data collection? Thanks for your post. I enjoy discussing the topic. And, hey, how do we even know there AREN'T children trafficked off-planet? Do we really know that for sure?
No we don't. That actually wasn't my issue though if you watched the entire episode that day which I happened to do that Mars part kind of came out of left field. Some people thought it may have been intentional to make Alex Jones seem nutty since that is what they zeroed in on and stated was an Alex Jones thing when he wasn't even the one that said it.
So do we know? Nope. That is certainly something I'd want to back up with some pretty significant information and sourcing before saying though. :)
The interview where I called him out on "every phone call and every email" was not bad. In fact, that was really the only thing I disagreed about. I do know that topic very well from a low level. That's my job, and I actually work with entities to setup the ports and devices to enable them to tap calls. So when I pointed it out it was more because I have a pet peeve with casual use of absolutes. I can get pretty pig headed about it. So I pointed out that one problem and received RDS response...
"You don't know as much as you think you do."
Which in reality this statement could be said about ANY of us. In this case I know more about internet protocols, network engineering, and SIP based PBX systems than he does. If someone states something that is false and I know it because I am well versed in that then I'll challenge them on it. I don't bow to appeals to authority.
Now one thing worth noting. Even though they CAN'T record every phone call and email it is better safe than sorry and not a bad idea to still have a healthy dose of paranoia. I do think they record a large quantity of both of those. I just know a lot of them that they don't, and I also know the mechanism they use to tap the calls in that environment when needed because I've been helping set it up. ;) If they already recorded them all there would be no need for CALEA certification and these devices and it'd also be doing something magical and violating all physics and network rules to make not connected networks suddenly recordable by the NSA.
Thanks for your answer. Do you think William Binney would have the knowledge base to make that statement about data collection? My understanding (very limited as a lay researcher on the outside), was that data collection was also compiled and analyzed more by a keyword algorithm? Our conversation has been great so far and I am upvoting and following.
One last issue I want to throw out there. Could you consider it could be the opposite and that Alex was setting up RDS? Its possible and I also watched the entire episode and hour or so long interview. Alex would not let RDS talk about election reform or #UNRIG, which was just trying to get off the ground for a national conversation about the root-level mass corruption of our congress members... Yeah Alex did talk over him about #UNRIG but that is an assholish bad habit Alex has anyway. He talks over a lot of people. I honestly don't see how Alex could set him up to talk about Mars out of the blue in all the other things he was saying. That was a very out of place statement. :)
And yeah I listened to the entire thing. I don't do so every day but I often have shows streaming in the background while I work if I don't have something else.
As to William Binney. I don't think RDS was wrong that they gather most data. Especially Cell Phone. I just KNOW first hand that there is still a lot of data they don't gather. In the percentage compared to the total it is likely a small number. It is simply the matter of some types of calls and emails never actually pass through any points the NSA has access too.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if they had access to All Cell Phone Calls, All GMail, All Microsoft Office 360 based Email, and all email provided by some big provider. That would not surprise me in the least. However, that is not ALL email. I can build an SMTP server and POP3 server on pretty much any machine and it could send/receive email and not be part of anything the NSA monitored. It is also still not uncommon for some organizations to still have their own private email server and the NSA would not immediately get all of that email, unless some device has been installed to do so or if they have hacked it and compromised the server. For when I said I can setup my own SMTP or POP3 server that protocol is not that complex so if I had to I could write/code it from scratch, so absolutely no possibility of back doors.
So if RDS wanted to say the NSA captures MOST Email and MOST Phone Calls that could very well be true. Yet, that is not the same as ALL or EVERY.
I actually saw the interview between Jones and Steele. They were discussing a completely unrelated 'earthly' subject when Steele, in a inelegant manner, dropped the "secret mars stolen kids' thing into a reply. Jones was actually speechless for a few seconds. It was quite frankly weird and unsettling and I felt Steele was unreliable ever since.
There was a second weird incident involving Steele that happened around the same time. Crowdsource the truth (Jason Goodman who I no longer follow) interviewed him.
At the end they mentioned Steele's unrig campaign and urged donations. I understand Steele received $10,000 from CST people as a result. For reasons I could not fathom, after receiving these donations Steele attacked Goodman pretty aggressively and told him not to contact him again. I honestly have no clue as the background to this dispute. I do know that many CST people donated where upset and wanted their donations back. In summary a giant mess with Steele at the centre and having financially gained. Those two incidents turned me off Steele.

I think he exaggerates, but Alex Jones isn't the only person at Infowars. He is flayboyant and more of a character than need be, but lately most of his information seems to check out if you go investigate it. I've seen him wrong before, but that is true of everyone. We are not gods, we are human.
I trust him more than I do pretty much any mainstream network, but the alt site I tend to like the most is Zerohedge.
Oh and I think he misses the point about "solidarity" when he gets too bible thumpery. I've also seen him be total assholes to people that were his allies. So I have no illusions that he can be a dick, but other than his tendency to sometimes push religion too much and be overly flamboyant he seems pretty accurate on most things. Have things he's stated since 911 been found to be wrong. Of course. This is true of everyone it is called being human, and I haven't actually see he deny changing his mind based upon new information.
However, much of the news we've been hearing everywhere on mainstream media and other places he was talking about a year ago. You see he doesn't operate by himself so as he surrounds himself with more and more people with different ideas and approaches I believe the information is getting more focused and better.
I do not take the forever damned approach. If I did I'd not talk to anyone. So have I seen him be wrong? Definitely. Yet like I said I've seen it of others too.
Really most people try to make him out to be absurd when really he just exaggerates and is flamboyant. That can make it amusing to watch too.
Does that mean I treat him like an authority and believe everything he says without checking? No. No one meets that qualification including myself. I am often wrong and change my mind. So if I were to change my mind and you tried to keep me static as ALWAYS believing what I did before I changed my mind then that would be a problem.
So I don't expect to keep Jones or anyone static and stuck in time never able to change my opinion of them.

I'll just say at this point that the only person I have found constantly reliable (and never wrong) is James Corbett. Although like you he says he sometimes is - he's only wrong about that! - he just isn't ever wrong that I've ever seen! (and I've been following him for ten years now)

I don't always like to watch videos it depends upon what I am doing. If I am at work doing network engineering or I am doing game development then I'll usually have a video or podcast going in the background though sometimes it is music.
Charles Manson may have been trustworthy. He was just nuts. There is a difference. I saw no indicators that he didn't believe everything he told you, so you could pretty much trust him to do what he said... he just said some nutty shit.

That was easier until they did the 10 votes per day at 100%... it became a lot more challenging. I also am not getting votes from the "whales" that were voting on me. I still vote on comments but I spread it out so I can reward people that interact. My income from posting on steemit is a fraction of what it once was. That's okay though.
I think we all proceed along similar roads in our journey towards an authentic truth.
I have spent time with Jones, Stone, to a lesser extent Steele. What bugged me about them was the never ending stream of stuff to be anxious about. Is there ever a good news story?
Jones style also bugs me, good luck getting a female to watch him. There is simply no need for him to hyperventilate and you can see him working it up as a 'performance'.
I don't want to go on because I said this in a reply earlier. The most resonant and authentic stream of info I have ever come across are some unconnected, unmonetized individuals on twitter. I call them 'super enthusiasts' or 'obsessive researchers'. They each have their area of specialization, all have been brilliant in terms of their analysis of Trump and the massive disinfo/mildec/opsec operations his White House has run since day one under the tutelage of the man who isn't there (Flynn).
All the McMaster vs Trump, Kelly vs Trump, Mattis vs Trump Trump as a prisoner in the White House basement, in summary all the bs that triggers Jones et al for weeks not to mention feeds the msm fake news picture of 'Trump as circus clown' is all mildec.

Trump has told us many times how much of a fan he is. Jones knows this. Many analysts know this, yet they continue to fear monger. The twitter accounts I mention above have regularly told followers who want to donate that their reward is in being an antidote to the fear mongering.

Maybe he means that they automatically record every conversation into a mega tetra computer and have it there archived for future "pullings" for example if "johnny b good" did some bad in the future they would "fish" him out from the archive and find something scandalous or even criminal and that would be that! "johnny b good broke the law in the 2009 where he threatened to some bad to the kitchen chief" maybe...i don't know

Hehe.... nope. IT is impossible because they are not all linked into the network. I could build a PBX in my house in a couple of hours and setup two different SIP phones in different locations and make calls and that'd never cross any network the NSA has access to.
Furthermore, as I told him I am involved in setting up CALEA certification so they can TAP calls. It is not a quick process and without it they can't tap calls, and they can't tap them all. They have to do it by specific DIDs due to bandwidth requirements. So the fact the CALEA process even exists is by itself proof they can't record every call.

It should be easy to understand...
Here are two things you may need to know and then it should be clear.
PBX = Phone System. Think of it like a box at an office that provides all the phones to the offices. Residential phones go through PBXes as well they just typically are what is known as a Multi-Tenant PBX that the phone company uses.
DID = Telephone number :)
ISP = Internet Service Provider
If you know those three things then what I wrote likely will be mostly understandable.
Oh...
SIP is the protocol most often used to transmit phone calls over internet.
Most phone systems and even cell phones use a variant of it.

Neither did I until very recently. But you can still access twitter and look at these guys without an account on your desktop browser. I followed them all for three months and then figured I should join the fun.
These guys are regularly shadow banned on twitter and I understand there is a slow motion relocation to GAB which I know nothing about. Apparently twitter is introducing new rules on 18 December designed to shut down Trump. That may be the trigger for the move to GAB.
Thomas Wictor is a must. He is extremely anti conspiracy theory. Yet through open source he has determined that the Saudi's, Israel, the Gulf States and Egypt formed a secret alliance in 2015. The Arabs, he believes, have poured billions if not trillions into Israeli arms research. The results, which he discusses a lot, are future weapons designed to minimise collateral damage and innocent casualties. He has much evidence of their use in Syria. Less evidence is available but he has it, of what he calls Arab League strategic operators. There exists almost no footage of these guys, they will not allow camera crews in until these guys have completed their mission and regular military mop up.
The Strategic operators use nano drones, thermobaric mini munitions, directed energy weapons, hypersonic weaponry, rifle accurate plasma bullet type flame throwers for use against suicide bombers. Believe me, this guy is the biggest ever non conspiracy theorist red pill provider.

We respect and appreciate these points which have been made in your post. There is so much Disinfo and Theory being promoted these days that it becomes critically important to stay focused on evidence rather than the messengers. You pointed out some very important info regarding Phone Tapping and PBX systems.

So it is SAFER to lean towards paranoia in this case. Assume your phone call may be recorded or your email captured.
I just can be a pit bull when it comes to absolutes when it comes to absolutes such as EVERY and ALL... as they are usually wrong. There are exceptions. Yet it is a pet peeve of mine and I can get pretty pig headed about it. Especially if it happens to be a topic I am deeply involved in such as PBXes, Email, and networking.
I too am focused on the Deep State. I'll still call people out on information that is false when I see it. I don't see it as intentional. Absolutes usually are just a bad habit of exaggeration that the rest of society accepts as okay. I'm peevish about it. :) I believe getting more people to use critical thinking is important to us winning. We can't do that by ignoring and perpetuating our bad habits.
