Hey Steemers,

I was doing my usual garden check this morning and I had to do a double take... a cauliflower has finally blessed me with its presence! I am told they are not easy to grow and as this is my first ever cauliflower, I'm pretty chuffed. My peas have started flowering too, happy days!

I hope everyone is enjoying what's left of the weekend :)

Well done. Nothing tastes better than homegrown. Can't wait to see what you cook with it when it finally is ready to pick!

Cheers @amy-goodrich, I agree! I look forward to preparing a super special dish for the occasion :D

Gorgeous plants...Steem on!

I would be so excited! We finally had a nice day here, so my boyfriend started working on a little garden prep for the spring. I can't wait to see what we can get growing this year. I'm sure your cauliflower is going to be delicious!

That's great that you were able to start on some spring garden prep, makes you feel good about the season ahead! Have you any ideas for what you'll be growing?

I sure hope my cauli is delicious - I need to think of a dish that will hero it as the main ingredient. I have plenty of time to think while it grows :D

We always do the basics--tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, eggplant, some type of greens like Swiss chard. We've actually had some fantastic acorn squash from volunteers before, so sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised by a random survivor from our compost!

One of my clients ordered some seeds, so she told me to check with her and she'll share some others, too. I will definitely share in a few months once spring hits! Looking forward to seeing what you make with your cauliflower!

YAY!!! The view of sunshine and GREEEN are most apprreciated during these winter months- congrats on the cauli!

Bless you @dayleeo - thank you for your lovely comments! Where in the world are you? It's sunny here in Spain but still chilly!!

At he moment I’m in the UK until the spring, it’s been pretty chilly and rainy here so far! Hoping we get an early spring!

Oh in that case you must be very cold! I went to the UK recently and it was too cold to handle!!!! haha. Fingers crossed for an early spring :D

Yes fingers and toes crossed! I miss doing yoga outside in the open air! <3

Nice garden work and pictures :)

Thank you for the kind compliments @jnmarteau! :)

Wow! the shot of the baby cauliflower is so crisp and vibrant!

Great photography yet again! and great healthy looking veg! keep up the amazing work!

Thanks very much @magiccleatus - glad you liked the photos. I look forward to sharing more veggie photos as things get going :)

Wow those look so beautiful and healthy- well done and it looks like you are going to be a green fingered type. For a first time gardener you are having beautiful results which I hope inspires other new gardeners to start a little planting too. The plants are surely rewarding you for the love you give them. Most vibrant, healthy and happy plants. Ten out of ten! I am looking forward to seeing more of your plants too in the future.
Lovely photo quality as always a real pro and it shows. 💚🌴🌈☺️☀️Upvoted and resteemed

Aww thanks @sallybeth23 - gardening is very rewarding and I can't wait to see what the year holds for me and my garden! I look forward to sharing more as the plants progress :)

As always I really appreciate your upvote & resteem - I hope you are having a beautiful tropical day xxx

Such a great feeling! :-)
everything in your garden is looking healthy!
Enjoy your Pisum legumes, soooo tastey fresh off the plant. Mine rarely make it to the kitchen haha.

Isn't it just?? I'm still so excited to see it every day, though it is taking its time to grow. I am probably too impatient with said excitement!

I cannot wait to see some pea pods growing, they probably won't make it to my kitchen either. Too perfect eaten fresh from the plant!!!!

they are so amazing fresh, makes me want it to be cold enough to grow them again here in Brisbane!!
Dont forget to leave the roots in the ground when they die to fix some N into your soil :-)

It sure is cold enough here in Spain... I take it it's summertime for you??

Thanks for the tip on the roots - I'll be sure to leave them in! I recently had to renew the soil in the beds to plant these peas so the soil could use all the help it can get :)

well your off to a good start with peas they will fix your soil quite a bit :-)
Yep, brutal summer here in Australia but we have had rain the last few days :-)
Happy Gardening!

Wow brutal eh? I'd love to visit Australia, it's #1 on the travel list!!

Enjoy that rain. I have had rain all week but today it is finally clear and sunny. Time to plant some seeds!

Have a great weekend :)

You should visit Australia it has many a beautiful place to see, many great gardens to visit.
The rain has been enjoyed, hopefully some sun tomorrow so I can get planting also.
You have a great weekend also :-)

Lool. Really, we have thousands of this plant in my yard

Not in my case, good that you have lots of them!
