Introducing my New Home finally

I have been writing about my new home since quite some time and finally today I can share the pictures with you all of my home. 99% of the work is completed and now just some finishing touches are pending. It took almost one and a half year to get this place ready. It was a piece of land from where we started and built this whole place. Now when I am looking at it I am filled with pride for this big accomplishment of our lives. Also I feel that it has turned out a little bigger then my expectation.

The bigger challenge will be starting from this point which is the maintenance of the house. It's a big home so maintenance is also going to be lots. You all may think what am I going to do with such a big home. Well this place is going to be a holiday home and also I have plans to make it commercial. I plan to do Yoga retreats here and hence I have all these big open spaces. I have already been reaching out to small corporates who would like to do their Employee Engagement programs over the weekends in such places. I have a fair idea about this since I have spent 25 years of my life in a corporate environment. Small time companies with staff strength of 12 to 15 can easily accommodate. My place has 5 bedrooms and I have some extra beddings also to accommodate. There is a big terrace and a special Yoga room which can be used.

There is a Gazebo area and a Swimming pool for recreational activities. We have also arranged for barbeque pit, laundry services, meals services, a well equipped kitchen as other facilities. It's a perfect weekend getaway. Now that me and hubby plan to return back from Muscat permanently leaving his job there within the next year, this is going to be our second home and also a source of income.

Besides all of this I have made big garden beds since I plan to do lot of gardening and growing my own foods here. It's going to take some time to develop the full place and like how the home has come up slowly gradually all the other things also will be ready within the next 6 to 8 months. As of now gardening I have to put on hold for the next 3 months till the monsoon gets over, since during rains I will not get the garden soil and the rain is heavy here so anything I grow may get destroyed.

I am so much in love with my place and I am sad that I have to go back to Muscat in another 2 weeks time. Anyways now I will keep visiting often since I have lot of work to do here.

Our Home is finally ready. The glass room up on the terrace is the Yoga room and the mini terrace up is the viewing gallery which gives a beautiful 360 degree view of the whole area, up on that are the solar panels which acts as a shade and powers our home.

The entrance of the home is North facing as per Vasstu, but the entrance of the plot is west facing, here I had no choice because the other 3 sides were not practical to make the entrance. The round window you see up there is the bathroom. The glass is not see through from outside but from inside you have a beautiful view of the hills around. I always wanted something like this and now here it is.
