Better Life with Steem | The Diary Game | 18|08|2021 - Happy Family Moments
It is such a happy time being back with family. I arrived India on 16th early morning. Was dreading the travel part but it was so very smooth, absolutely no hassles, all the way from Muscat to reaching home there was nothing to worry about. I was travelling with almost 20 kgs excess baggage but that was also taken care off. I did not have to pay anything extra and got everything waived off. The airport staff all the way at both the places was very humble and helpful in all ways. Felt like a blessing to sail through so smoothly, I have been hearing some dreadful travel stories of other people and that was worrying me, but for me it was just the opposite. I could not ask for anything more to make my travel smooth.
On the day of arrival was also our New Year, the Parsee New Year and it was the apt time to be back with everyone. I was so happy to meet up with Mom, sister, nephews and the most important my Son. It was a family reunion time. I had bought lots of gifts for everyone, and they were all so happy, to get their goodies. My Sister stays in another city, this time I decided to fly first to her place in Ahmedabad, stay here for few days and then travel to my own home in Mumbai.
That's a family picture together after a very long time, almost 2 years.
We have some traditions which elder people at home do it for the younger ones. It is regarded as auspicious and sign of good luck and done on days like New Year and Birthdays. My elder sister is doing it for me, and I did it for my nephews and son. It is like giving blessings to the younger people in the family.
And then I did it for my Son and Nephews. My another sister who stays a little far from our home, could not make it. We missed her and my nieces.
After completing all the ceremonies we then proceeded for dinner, my Sister had arranged for a table at a Restaurant.

That was a perfect New Year day spent with near and dear ones
Today we are travelling for a short 4 days holiday to a hill station which is a 4 hour drive from the city. It is a beautiful place away from the city chaos.

Great to know that Parsee New Year has just started. Also interestingly noted the fact that Parsees also apply tilak on forehead! Never new that. Nice read.

True, these are some precious moments to cherish on. Yes on good occasions we do a good luck ceremony by putting the tilak on the forehead.

So travel turned out to be like RAT test, the more people frightened the easy it was. Cool it is.

True, when you see your family after a very long time you realize how precious they are for you. Normally I travel every alternate month, but this time due to Covid I came back home after a year and I feel so overwhelmed.
