SEC - It's a pleasure for me

One of the greatest things that bonds a family more is engaging in something that involves all members of the family.

Each member participates in it and derives happiness in doing so. That is also very true of my family. We derive so much pleasure in engaging in activities together as a family. Be it outdoors or indoors.

This contest entitled It's a pleasure for me will give me the opportunity to relate an instance of a pleasure fun-filled time with my family.

Recently, I and a group of colleagues decided to have a time out together. We decided to go for swimming. I went with my children for the swimming event and little did I know that it would interest my children that much.

So after we came back, we decided to go repeat same with the entire family and some group of friends. A date was picked and the family eagerly awaited the day.

Our children loves outdoor activities a lot such that whenever such is arranged, they will be your reminder early on that day.

We were awoken from sleep by them that day, reminding us that we need to leave on time so that they will spend most of their time out there.

We took our breakfast, took our bath and got ready to move. We packed our swimming gears and left the house, on the way, we also picked some friends that were going with us. It was going to be fun-filled and pleasurable.

I and my family with the friends with us were the first to reach the swimming spot. We immediately changed to our swimming gears and dived into water.

Come and see the joy radiating through the childrens faces. I too was enjoying every bit of the day. My children does not know how to swim, so this presented them with an opportunity to learn and they are improving on their swimming skills.

Later on, other family friends arrived and joined us inside the pool. It was amazing to see the joy radiating on their faces.

Nothing can be as pleasurable as doing things together. However, there were others who could not swim due to some health problems, so they sat around the bar, enjoying themselves with drinks and friendly chats.

Such opportunities are rare considering that everyone is busy and have less time to fraternize with their friends.

We stayed for quite some time in the pool, and when it seemed it was about to rain, we decided to get out of the pool, dried ourselves up and left the hotel. But has the day ended just like that?

The Amala and Ewedu

No, we decided to switch tents to a Big Mall which was directly opposite the road that led to the swimming place. We wanted to treat our friends to a food they have heard but not tasted before.

Which delicacy is that? Amala and Ewedu! This delicacy is known specially to the Yoruba tribe in my country and is specially prepared by them. Any time that I travel to Lagos State, I do not miss eating this delicacy. So having identified a spot where it is prepared, we decided to give our friends a treat.

We went straight to the spot and made orders for the number of plates we wanted.

Time came and it was served, while just two friends refused eating it, the rest enjoyed the meal and was seriously licking their fingers. I warned them to take it easy with the licking to avoid biting their finger hahahaha!

By the time we finished eating and had sometime going through the entire mall, the day have already been spent and darkness was approaching. So we decided to start going home after such a pleasurable day.

My children cannot stop remembering the beautiful time they had and are already looking forward to another one like that.

Conclusion

Having a good time with your family and friend are always pleasurable. For my family, thisjust one way we do so. Maybe at another time, I will tell you another way we catch fun as a family.
