My diarygame/ how I spent my weekend Friday and Saturday 10 and 11/06/2022 helping a friend on her traditional marriage ceremony by @vickydear

Good afternoon my lovely and amicable women, I'm so happy to meet all of you here in this interesting Community, hopefully all of us are doing well and that we are all stay safe in our various locations, may God bless all of us.

I am very happy to tell you how i spent my Friday and Saturday 10/11/06/2022 on my friend traditional marriage in her village..

I was opportune enough to followed and witnessed the traditional marriage of my favorite friend on the above mentioned date.
Each traditional marriage ceremony is expected to be cherished by the bride.groom and both families, and then friends., Although there is religious and economic expectations the condition still remains which is the ceremony should continue be social event not only cultural event.

On Friday 10/06/2022 my friend woke me up with a call to please come and help her in her traditional marriage that will take place the following day being Saturday 11/06/20202 But on the morning of that Friday I should follow her to the abattoir to buy some meat that will be used in the occasion.

So I got up quickly from the bed and do my morning devotion say a word of prayer and took my bath, immediately after that she calls me again to come over to the abattoir then I dressed up and boarded a keke to join her there to buy some meat.

Abattoir is a place where animals are kill or slaughter on a large scale to provide food for human consumption. So we bought cow skin and also bought goat there, at the cheaper rates.

When we left abattoir it was late in the afternoon,

so I came back home and rest a while took my lunch and then got prepared again to followed her to her village Amamong in okobo local government area of Akwa Ibom state, we left by 5pm,the journey was about 2hours journey, we arrived her compound around 7pm on that Friday and start preparing some food items such as washing and frying meat, selecting the water leaf and Afang leaf. Before we finished all this thing it was very late in the night, then i slept and woke up very early in morning of Saturday.

On Saturday 11/06/2022 The Ceremonial Day

I woke up with others early morning of Saturday 11/06/ 2022 and start to prepared different types of food for the traditional marriage occasion.

I with one other friend help in washing water leaf,after that I handled the cooking of jellof rice coconut rice and white soup

.others traditional foods such as porridge plantain, white soup, ekpangkukwa etc were cooked by others who were present in the occasion that very morning.

We finished cooking all the meal that was meant for the occasion in the afternoon before the arrival of the groom and his family, and they were entertained with the different types of food that we cooked .
After entertainment the ceremony began by the introduction of the both families, then they brought out the groom and later the bride the bride family then handover the bride to the groom and they were pronounced as a husband and wife
Then the ceremony was over and I came back late at night, I was very tired,I took my bath and slept.
