What are DAO Funds? Let's talk about it
The DAO stands for Decentralized Autonomous Organization.
Steem.DAO is an account on the Steem blockchain (@steem.dao) that receives 10% of the annual new supply. These funds are dedicated to the Steem Proposal System (SPS) for platform improvements
Every day a portion of the SBD fund managed by the Steem.DAO is distributed to various proposals, depending on a) how much the proposal is asking for and b) how much approval the proposal has.
The Steem.DAO was a concept proposed by @blocktrades to allow Steem users to publicly propose work they are willing to do in exchange for pay. Steem users can then vote on these proposals in almost the same way they vote for witnesses. It uses stake-weighted votes, but voters can vote for as many proposals as they want.

Why am I posting this info now?
I want all steemians to familiarize themselves with what is Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) is
Today, it is almost impossible for developers to apply for funding from the fund. Let me explain it
During the Hive split and with the previous witnesses, Steemit Inc. decided to protect the chain with a return proposal with its large assets and it means that DAO funds were not used for malicious purposes.
What was done this time during the split with Hive to block off DAO funds was sensible
@dev365 is today the account that has the largest share of the return proposal with 83.72% - Proxied SP (40,641,010,831 SP)
Now the time has come for DAO funds to be opened again for developers on steem if @dev365 withdraws its shares
If you want a new frontend with a new design on steemit, I think everyone wants that. @the-gorilla wants to develop it if he gets his proposal through with DAO funds

Thanks for sharing this! It was definitely a wonderful idea, and hopefully this can become (somewhat) decentralized, as I expect the original intention was.
And I'm definitely in favour of @the-gorilla's proposal for a new front end! We desperately need that.
I also hope we can get to a point where someone/someoneS take on such jobs as "Exchange Liaison" to get better distribution for Steem, and maybe "Public Relations Person" to actively spread news about Stemit/Steem. Decentralization is nice, but not always the ideal structure for certain types of tasks.
I hope that many people will spread the word about the proposal of @the-gorilla

This is interesting one, DAO meaning sounds good with no ideas of centralized which Steemit policy against.
