Tutorial: What means #club5050 and how to Power Up?
Hello my dear Steemians,
While reading the comments recently I noticed that some of the users still have problems to understand what means #club5050.
The tag is used by many without knowing if it is correct or not. There are two misunderstanding that people have and such questions I hear on and off:.
Question 1:
- “I am using set Up of Payout 50% / 50% is that mean that I am entitled for #club5050?”
Answer:
- No, that only means that your payout is divided and 50% goes to Steem Power. That does not entitle you for #club5050
Question 2:
Answer:
on the example below: the post Payout in 50% is 18.327 Steem Power, that is automatically goes into Steem Power and we do not even see it.
The other 50% is SBD, luckily SBD is much valuable and from this post it is 9.897SBD
Now having 9.897SBD and if you want to do 50/50 Power Up as per #club5050
- you should convert all SBD into Steem, then 50% of it you should use for Power Up
If you want to do 100% Power Up as per rules for #club100
- you should convert all SBD into Steem and then convert all 100% into Steem Power
Last couple of days I was asked few times how to Power Up therefore, I wanted to do step-by step explanation for those of you who still struggle with Powering Up.
First of all for Powering Up you need to go to your Wallet and use your active key.
1 . Log in with active key and claim outstanding Steem and SBD
2 . As to SBD, you should exchange it on Market to Steem
3 . Now you need to decide what you do with Steem, clicking on the sum of Steem you will have drop down windows that will let you choose what to do, you should choose “Power UP”
4 . Now you have to decide how much you want to Power Up
I hope this information today gave you some explanation and you will be able to Power Up correctly, if you decide to do 100% Power Up then you may see me under your posts, as we are supporting this Initiative.
Thanks for your information! Now I understand!

Thank you for viewing :)
worth a read😍
Thank you :)
Thank you for this eye opening post. I have been wondering how to build up my account for quite a while now, as it might be so difficult to accumulate steem power. Even before knowing what #club5050 means , I sold my 1.2 SBD today to power up additional 15 steem.
But seeing this post has really opened me to a new task. I have Made up my mind to power up 100% of my payouts till I have a tangible steem power to appreciate contents I find interesting. I hope I get more upvotes and support as long as I am committed to powering up.
I would like to ask that, before My 100% upvote would give 1 steem, how many steem power would I have ?
Hi, I am glad that you have a bit more clear info. I am attaching the Steemworld program with your user name and you can see what is happening in your acocunt, I have circled Simulate Steem Power, so that you can put any sum and see how much you will be having. That is nice program that will give you an overview about your account.

Thank you for this, I appreciate
One last question, how long would it be, before I would be fully entitled to add club5050 and club100 to my tags if I start powering up from now, and how many steem power does it require to be able to boost as a member of the community?
Once you are starting any Power up and no Power Down you can use the tag. There is no guarantee that @steemcurator01 will visit the post but if you remain persistent in what you are doing and follow the rules you may get noticed :)
Thank you for this clear explanation, thank you for spending your time to explain. I now have a good understanding.
thank you for the information, @stef1 I myself don't understand the meaning of #club5050 or #club100, with this information hopefully there will be no more mistakes in the future, greetings from @village-ucup.
Many people doing wrong thing and then wondering why they are not visited, I hope that this tutorial will clarify a lot :)
