Traditional healthy remedy: Chicken Soup
Do you know that when we are ill we are tired, no energy and have no appetite. Even good tasty fast food or Pizza does not go and we even do not want to see any food but we need some energy.
That is what happen to my hubby yesterday therefore, I decided to cook a chicken soup that has everything in it, proteins, fat, carbohydrates and of course fluids. Also the good thing is that is is easy to eat and easily digestible.
First of all we have bought a chicken, usually we take free range chicken that come from local farms, at least we know the area and also we help the local producers.
In order to make it easy to cook, I usually divide the whole chicken into separate pieces, now they are ready for soup.
Now they are in water and need to start to boil, once it is boiling, I usually leave it for one hour to cook on medium flame.
After an hour, I take the cooked meat and separate meat from bones after that they can go back into bouillon and now the time is for vegetables.
Vegetables that I usually use for soup are very generic and every household had it:
- carrots
- red pepper
- potatoes
- onion
- fine noodles
- garlic
- some salt
That is all, I usually put everything the same time.
Here it is a bowl with healthy remedy against viral infection, tiredness and just a source of energy. It was very delicious.
In my country, it exists a similar chicken soup I particularly love (there isn't red pepper and rice is placed at the place of noodles, otherwise I couldn't eat it because noodles means gluten).

Yes, it seems to be favourite dish in different countries and always a secret hint of every mothers. I believe we all have a little deviations from recipe but in general they all must taste the same and delicious :)
That's what you're saying right! This chicken will be useful. For example, a chicken grown in a cage on a large poultry farm on artificial feed will not benefit the patient, it may even harm.
Yes, we tried those one in free range and to tell the truth the taste is really different, we decided to stay with those ones :)

Yes, it is quite simple but they all together give good taste:)
Chicken soup needs to be simmered over low heat for a long time. Add your favorite ingredients and it's a very delicious dish.
