Fighting Abuse on Steem: Deception and Plagiarism by @obrisgold. - #club5050
Hello my dear Steemians and Art Fans,
It was not long ago since my last post about Plagiarism, normally we have some time free of the abusers, who usually tend to stay away for few weeks but yesterday it was another case and the user is not really new. That is why it was also a pity to see that he is a regular user in “Writing&Reviews”, “Steem Skillshare” and “Crypto Academy” community.
But let’s start from begining
While scrolling our trending page I noticed this post with this little picture:
But even though it was a little it was clear for me that the image represents UK, we are ourselves live here that is why we recognize the area immediately. Of course that was a reason to go to the post.
First of all of course we looked at the photo
This is what the users wrote:
My analyses:
- This is typical English country side and not South Africa as the user mentiones. It is typical British Stone house, surrounded by meadow and sheep as well as stonewall.
- After a short search we have found an original Photo:
Original Author is Bob Radlinski and as it is mentioned under the Photo it is Near Sawrey Landscape, Lake District, this is in North West of England.
The Photo obviously cropped but we can see the same clouds, shadows from the trees and those two sheep in front that are grazing.
Going back to the user’s blog you can see that he was posting in:
Multiple communities and normally we tend to trust people who we know. But occasionally we see that the users decide to take such easy way and pretend to be an owner of somebody else’s property.
The same time it is difficult to image how those people think out the story around them, that we easily can believe them.
Nevertheless, we wanted to make you aware about that and also to ask @steemcurator01, @belenguerra and @fendits to draw the attention of the communities to check the posts of the user to see if there are any more such case.

Guao ese es un gran trabajo de investigación, a veces los coordinadores de plataforma no tienen todas las herramientas para hacer la verificación y es muy importante esté aporte.
Sometimes even verified people do mistake and try to go an easy way, that is a shame.

Man you must be given some special place in steem for your hard work
I know but this is then a hard job to look through the posts and blogs. What we found this is just some posts in the field we work that is why it was more or less a part of our curation work :)
Saludos, muy buena investigación pareces detective. Pero también es importante hacerlo ya que muchos se esfuerzan en realizar sus trabajos con contenido autentico y original y vienen otros a querer garnarse algo con el esfuerzo ajeno.
Stealing someone else's property ... is, first of all, not respecting yourself.
What people don't do for a couple of cents.
Or maybe they need fame?
But on this path you can only find shame .... these are pathetic worthless people.
I think they are just lazy and look for an easy way. Just like children if people are not looking then they may not notice. I am just a bit frustrated to see that the account of well known user and even then we can see such fraud.
It is not known at what cost this user became famous. If he allows stealing now, then it may be his old habit. It's just that no one caught his hand on this.
This whole story speaks again about the fact that we must not lose our vigilance)

Большинству несомненно да, их заботит только момент заработать, отсюда и такое отношение. Поймали, сменил аккаунт и продолжил. Тактика дебильная, но по-другому просто не умеют.
Но не исключаю, что кто-то таким макаром ищет признания, все люди разные))
Да сменить они аккаунт могут. Это без проблем. Моё мнение. Надо блокировать новые аккаунты созданные по одму и тамуже айпи адресу, которые были замечены в плагиате.
Это было бы правильно, но кто-то это должен сделать.
Хорошо бы, чтобы кто-то вообще развитием платформы занялся, тупо даже чисто технической стороной вопроса.
Кспилар сделал хороший пост с правильными вопросами на эту тему. Будет ли услышан глас и если да, то что за реакция последует (если последует)
Это должны делать начальники, или я даже не знаю, как их назвать. Но, как я понял им всё до лампочки. Они получают бабло, ничего не делая. Почему и была В 19 году раздвоение стимита. Может быть я не прав. Но я знаю на 100% . Первоночально Эта площадка была запущена для тестирование ботов. Для игры на биржах.
Не знаю, как там было первоначально. Этап расцвета пирамиды я не застал))
Любая система после рождения и некоторого периода адаптации начинает жить своей жизнью.
Инвесторы делают бабло, но они за этим сюда и приходили вкладывая свои же деньги. Это нормально.
Блокчейн позиционируется как децентрализация, но это лукавство. И это все понимают. Тем более после продажи (все говорят, типа хозяин появился, а продавал не хозяин)).
Если всё делать по уму, то хозяин/управляющий должен иметь дорожную карту и ставить парус с рулём соответственно.
Нужно в числе прочего, вкладывать средства в развитие самого механизма/платформы. Устранять баги, создавать новые фишки. Если только рекламировать старый велосипед и хвалить его, но при этом не смазывать и не ремонтировать...через некоторое время он будет представлять интерес только для коллекционеров.
Эта площадка хороша как социальная платформа. Её потенциал далеко не использован. Но здесь нужно привлекать разработчиков, вкладываться, продвигать.
Пока всего этого не вижу. Унылая игра дневничков, манёвры с кураторством...но это не развитие.
Определите разницу COWID 19 и KOVIDS 19.

Как вам такой прикол в Латвии. Языковая комиссия выдвинула такие требования Если будет стоять надпись на Английском языке, На любом предприятии или магазине, то штраф до 2000 евро. И какие мысли? Идёт полный развод. Или тупое правительство. Президент в Латвии Американец.Ну ладно я сейчас и с Англией поделюсь.
OMG!! I actually have no idea about all this dear steemians And lovers of arts/photography. I handed over this my account my refere just early last month while I was busy attending to a traditional function I was deeply involved.
And he was to only comment on post from using the account, not knowing he went on posting without me permitting him to. I hope this won't end my steemits journey 😰💔.
Dear @stef1 please what do you suggest I do? Because this absolutely is not my doing. I have been on steemit for quiet some time now as you say, and am fully aware of plagiarism, I will not do this while aware of this. Thanks for the update 🙏 I will restrict him from posting ASAP the account rather be till am fully back online myself.

It is unusual to learn that you are allowing to use your account someone and do not know what he is posting. It is difficult to gain trust again, when it is spoiled. The other people will not know if then to trust or suspect everyone.
This is first time I hear such explanation and to tell a truth I even do not know what to suggest.
because of the way things are here. I was totally out of the platform for 2weeks during this period of time I wasn't allowed to be distracted as it will be an insult to the elders of my community. it was actually a meeting for the burial arrangement of my immediate uncle's wife.
this is my case @stef1 i wouldn't on my own with a clear mind do that hell no!! this shows i really need to lecture my referees more about plagiarism. this shit will never repeat itself again. I give you my words.
