Blooming cactus plant
Today I wanted to present our old friend. It is already about 15 years old and when it joined our fmaily (it was a present from our family friend) as a little baby-cactus in a very little pot it was small and cute that time. I have never thought that it will reach such size like now. By the way, when we received it it was only one little ball with tiny needles.
Actually it is easy for us to see the difference because we are away for 6 months and after arrival it is very noticeable how much it is grown but also that now he has a bigger family.
Last summer it had no flowers but this time once again there are many flowers that is why I decided to capture it once again.
I am saying once again because I did post about it about three years ago and it was definitely small but also had flowers, now you can compare how it was then and how it is now.

I can’t believe a 15 years old plant is this small when it’s mates would have turn turned into an iroko tree by now…
Now I see why they only use it as a form of defense in movies.. it has refused to grow!! Smile.😊

15 years with you is some time - seems you are taking care of cactus very good
May cactus story : I remember when I was kid I bought the cactus and it had nice pink flower. Later however , as I recall , I found out that flower was fake. I was disappointed at the time. I think after that I got some cacti but they where without flowers.
Good to check flowers of cactus when you want to buy one.
I love these little flowers too, when I saw them first time I was surprised with such intense colour. Yes, it is important to make sure what kind of flower we want to buy :)

It is really quite amazing that this type of flowers is actually beautiful and couple with the fact that it has really spent over 15 years, I must truly confess that it has a whole lot of durability
It was good that cactus plants do not require much care and little water, the most convenient plant to have :)
