Good warning, many people do not know the danger of this plant. And it is really beautiful - you can be impressed if you go for a walk without thinking about it.
You were a bit lucky as a little boy: the burns are one thing. If the nettles get into your respiratory tract, such an encounter can end much worse.
In our small village, we know the spots of hogweed. Volunteers destroy it every year before it flowers so that it cannot multiply.
We also destroy this plant near settlements, but there are many of them far from cities and villages.
I still did not know about such a danger. I thought the worst thing it could cause was chemical burns.
By the way, yesterday I destroyed the hogweed I wrote about here. It is not necessary to grow there :)
