The story of one lawn.
One day I was walking with my son on important business and saw one wonderful lawn near an old two-story apartment building.
You know these are the houses in which in the old days there were coal boiler houses and a huge brick chimney towered from the end of each house.
As a rule old-timers of cities live in such houses and they take care that their yard looks colorful.
So, I remembered this and on the way back home we made a stop near this lawn where there were many bright flowers phlox marigolds and a bunch of those plants whose names I am too lazy to look up in the reference book of ornamental plants which have always interested me little.
I wanted to photograph not so much flowers but those who really love flowers and these are various insects.
I started hunting and didn't even notice how a predator had snuck up on me lol.
No not exactly I was focused on photographing a large hawk moth which you can find in this photo but at that moment a shrill scream came from somewhere above and this scream pierced my brain and bones.
I didn't understand the words the first time but then the voice repeated: "I planted the flowers! What are you doing here?"
I looked up and saw a small hunched-over grandmother on the second-floor balcony whose voice sounded like a hundred creaky door hinges that no one had lubricated for a long time.
Recognizing that this was an imaginary danger I said that I admired the beauty of her lawn and just wanted to take a few photos of the beautiful flowers.
To which she nodded her head waved her hand and said: Will we see them in the newspaper?
I quickly thanked her and pretended that I hadn’t heard anything about the newspaper and continued taking photos; it’s good that the butterfly lingered on the lawn.
But stress is stress no matter what it is, at first it was not very comfortable after this shock lol but gradually I calmed down and continued taking photos that you will see tomorrow.
Zoom in on a photo for a closer view.
More to come!
Enjoy viewing the photos and reading the article!
Have a blessed day!
