After our visits to the Roman remains around Chichester, we headed for the village of Bosham. It was around 3 o'clock in the afternoon when we arrived, but the UK has nice long evenings in the summer, much longer than in Japan, so we still had time to spend a few hours walking around the village.

We walked through the church; went to the collection of little shops near the car park and got an ice cream; sat by Bosham Quay and looked at the boats; had a pint in the pub overlooking the water; and finally we walked along Shore Road around an inlet from the sea and took pictures of the village across the water where it is very picturesque and quiet.

This is certainly a nice village to visit and was especially nice for my wife, who's Japanese. She thought it was enchanting and the image that Japanese people have of England, which has in fact disappeared in so many places now.

Here are some pictures.
