Community Guidelines on Plagiarism and Warning System

Dear SIZ Members

Steem Infinity zone has always given importance to original content to be shared in the community. Most of the members know about plagiarism and doing great work by posting original content. However, we have noticed that few members have shared content that has some plagiarism in it.

There should be some proper guidelines on plagiarism so that members can follow them. At the same time, there must be a warning system for the members who violate plagiarism guidelines. Strict actions will be taken against those who will repeat violations despite these warnings.

Community Guidelines on Plagiarism

Plagiarism in simple terms is posting someone else content on steemit by copy/pasting. You should follow these guidelines so that your posts in order to prevent your posts from being flagged as plagiarism.

1 - Post Original Content

You must post original content only and must check plagiarism before submitting the post. You should be posting about the skills you have in your own words even if you are taking help from other sources.

2 - Minimum Threshold for Unique Content 80%

You must check your post for unique content percentage from plagiarism checking website like (www.smallseotools.com). We understand that SIZ community content is focused on education and tutorials so there will be few generic things in your posts that can match any random content from other sources. So, we have set a minimum threshold of 80% unique content in your posts. This also means that there should not be more than 20% accidental matched content in your posts.

3 - Providing Reference

We encourage all the members to post only original pictures but if you are taking few pictures from royalty-free websites, then provide a source for your pictures. If you are taking few lines from another source, you should mention the reference at end of your post.

4 - Avoid Spinning or Rephrasing Words

You should not use article spinning software or rephrase the words to dodge the plagiarism checking websites. This is severe violation because we are allowing accidentally matched content upto 20% so you should not try to cheat the system. We have enough experienced and qualified staff in our management who can easily spot this cheating and it will result in strict actions immediately.

• These will help in improving the quality of content in the community as well as develop a competitive environment.
• These guidelines can be changed according to different situations we face in the coming days.

Warning System on Plagiarism Guidelines Violation

We have provided the community guidelines on plagiarism and everyone should follow them. If you will violate these guidelines then warnings will be given and further actions will be taken against offenders.

Under Observation

We understand that new users can do these violations accidentally or due to lack of knowledge. So, we will notify those users that they have violated plagiarism guidelines and mark their account "under observation". This under observation title will be removed after 2 weeks if the member start following the guidelines.

1st Warning

If a member who is "under observation" still violates these guidelines, he will be given 1st Warning title to their account. This 1st warning title will be removed after 2 weeks if the member starts following the guidelines.

2nd Warning

If a member who has "1st warning" violates these guidelines, he will be given 2nd Warning title to their account. All his active posts will be downvoted by community offcial account. This 2nd warning title will be removed after 2 weeks if the member starts following the guidelines.

Banned from Community

If a member with "2nd warning" violates these plagiarism guidelines then he will be muted from the community. He/she will have to submit Reinstate appeal to SIZ Admin. We will review his future posts in other communities to check plagiarism and if no violation found then the account will be reinstated and unmute from SIZ community.
