SEC-S10W3 " The Power Of Good Advice"

While advice is not always necessary, it can be beneficial in many cases. For example, if an individual is facing a difficult decision or situation, seeking advice from someone with more experience or knowledge can provide valuable insights and help them make a more informed decision. Additionally, advice can be a form of support and encouragement, which can be especially important during challenging times.
However, it's important to note that not all advice is good advice, and it's important to carefully consider the source and validity of any advice before following it. Ultimately, the decision to seek and follow advice is up to the individual, and they should use their own judgment to determine what is best for them.
One of my Computer Science prof of advanced I.T lecturer
was taking his last class of his long teaching career. In that class someone ask about the literacy of his life.
This is what he said
"When I was 25 years old I believed, in this world, 50% people are good and 50% are bad, when I reached to 40 I believed that 70% are good and 30% are bad, at 50 it was 80% good and 20% bad. Now when I am 65, I believe (from my lifetime experience) that all 100% people in this world are good. Now when I review I start how important shot I've lost in my life to work and talk with good people. Had I known this earlier when I was young, I would have been a much better human being."
Such a learning of a lifetime and best advice I have ever got.
Generally my close familiars, because I trust them a lot and they know me the best. Also, when I need a professional advice on some work related stuff, then I turn to the colleagues I trust. Basically, if you really trust someone - ask them for an advice.
A friend is someone you regularly turn to for advice, guidance, and support. They are individuals who have earned your trust and have proven themselves to be reliable and understanding. Friends provide a safe space where you can share your thoughts, concerns, and dilemmas without judgment. They listen actively, offer different perspectives, and help you make informed decisions. They provide emotional support, empathy, and a sense of belonging.
Giving and receiving advice is a valuable practice that fosters growth and personal development. When we offer advice, we extend our knowledge and experiences to help others navigate challenges or make informed decisions. It allows us to share wisdom, provide support, and contribute positively to someone else's life.
On the other hand, receiving advice opens us up to different perspectives and insights, broadening our understanding and aiding in problem-solving. It demonstrates humility and a willingness to learn from others.
Ultimately, this exchange of advice promotes empathy, collaboration, and personal growth, creating a stronger sense of community and enhancing our own self-awareness.

You have written a nice post. Seeking advice from people you trust is very important. We cannot seek advice from people that are not morally upright or that cannot be trusted.
You made mention that you mostly seek advice from your family members, and I agree with you because they have you at best interest. They will always give you great advice.
But sometimes It's also good to seek advice from nuetral people who will tell you nothing but the truth. People who will not tell you something just to please you but to make you better.
Its important to know that some advice will hurt you but at the end it will make you better.
Most times our family members will only tell us what we want to hear so that we dont feel hurt. That's why seeking advice from a non-family member sometimes is also recommended.
