in Hindwhale Community2 years ago (edited)

Hello Everyone
I am happy paticipating in this beautiful Engagement Challenge conducted by #HindWhale community. This is the original post LINK. This contest remember me my childhood days that I played some games that were most interest and most played by others in those days. As we grow now, when think about those days memories it will be funny now. I will share some games that I played those days.

Lock and Key

This game look like Hide and Seek but it is somewhat different from it. Lock and key is played with group of friends more than five. One or two member (based on number of players) is the locker (catcher) others need to run from the catcher. A boundary is set in the game and the players are allowed to run inside the specified boundary. If the catcher touch a person then the person will be locked in the same place (have to stay in the same place).

The other persons in the game can unlock the locked person by touching them without caught by the catcher. So, Every person in the game locked by the catcher and can be unlocked by the other key persons. If the catcher locked all the persons without allowing other person to unlock them, then he/she will be the winner.

Nikkal Kundhal

This game is played between two persons. This game is to test your memory power. If you forgot you get a hit from your friend. The one who likes to play the game with other has to join his right hand little finger initially with other person finger. It indigates mutual agreement for the game and that game start from that second. From this instance, whenever he stand or going to stand he has to say "Nikkal" with thumbs up to his partner like that whenever he sit down or going to sit down he has to say "Kundhal" with thumbs down.

The same rules applies to his partner also. If one forgets to tell the code or tells wrong code then the other person can hit on the back of person (aggresiveness based on friendship😂). If you signed the game with more people it is enough to say "All boys Nikkal/Kundhal". If you decide to stop the game then mutual agreement needed that is again join your right hand small finger with your friend. You may say it is a indoor game but it is played in all places indoor or outdoor.

Paperboat on Rain

I loves to make a paperboat and make it go on the rain water on Chidhood days. There are different colour paper taken from note. Some of the paper I coloured individually to make it unique. Also I write my name on the outside of the paperboat so that i am the owner of the boat. There are lot of competition between me and my friends whose boat goes longer distance and who will reach the target first. We played paper boat race in very small age.

Hand Cricket

Sometimes we are unable to play cricket game because of no time or some other reason. On those days Hand Cricket is famous. We have to use fingers to get runs. 1 finger means 1 run, 2 finger means 2 runs, 3 finger means 3 runs like that upto 5 fingers can be used for 5 runs and for six runs we need to use thumbs up symbol as we only have 5 fingers.

If batter and the oponent bowler shows the same finger then the batsman out. We have to count the total runs scored before out and that run need to get by the opponent to win. This is purely a mindgame in which we need to think about what number opponent going to show and we have to show diffrent number from that. I played this game mostly in outside, travelling in school bus, etc,. So I recomend in outdoor games.

Conclusion

I am a early 2K kid. I had all the chance to play outdoor games with my friends. Those days are golden days, when we come from from School the first thing we do is playing outside with friends in evening time. But now, these are changed and todays kids first asking mobile phone to play online game. They are missing those enjoyments, emotions, entertainment with their friends in outdoor games. The world is changing faster ==> Real things are changing to Viritual Reality, Outdoor games are changing to Smartphone games, Heat (Sweat) released from our body while playing changing to heat released from Smartphone. Now a days, parents need to tell to their Childs to play some games with their friends outside which gives more memories and also it is good for their health and fittness.

I would like to invite @saravanann, @dove11 and @anithamoorthy to participate in this Engagement Challenge.

Yes you are right, in those days technology not in our hands but enjoyment in our life. But now kids are missing those days.
