The importance of care and love for animals

Hello friends

In this opportunity I want to share a reflection since a few days ago I had the opportunity to read some news about the role played by rescue dogs in Turkey and Syria after the earthquakes that occurred a few weeks ago which highlights the importance of care, love and respect for animals and that should be taught from childhood.

Many people consider that the care of animals should not be given importance, and sometimes they have them in their homes only for a specific purpose, for example looking for a dog just to take care of their homes, and they are not properly cared for but rather mistreated. So seeing this news makes us think about the value of animals and the help they can give us at any given time as well as their love and companionship.

That is why children should be taught from an early age that animals should not be mistreated but cared for, and it is important to teach by example how to relate to them and how to take care of them. It is important to emphasize that care and respect are not only limited to pets kept at home, but also to those found in the street or in other places.
In most homes it is common to see a pet or perhaps at some point have had them as dogs and cats, especially children enjoy their company.

On the one hand, it is necessary to highlight the benefits of having a pet at home for both children and adults. In the case of children, it allows them to learn and reinforce values such as responsibility by taking care of their food, grooming, cleaning their utensils among others, as well as help in the emotional aspect, as they are more empathetic, sensitive, feel accompanied in the face of sadness or joy and is their companion for fun among many other important benefits that will allow them to relate to other people and improve the social aspect.

So while children are benefited, they should also take care of their pets, the care should be reciprocal, pets become part of the family and should be treated with affection, respect and love.

Animals are living beings that have their own feelings and particular needs, they are not objects that should be raffled, forced or returned or thrown to the street because of boredom or lack of time for their attention.

Having a pet at home is a decision that should not be taken lightly since it involves commitment and responsibility in the family, but it will undoubtedly allow you to live new and beautiful experiences.

Well friends, for the moment I say goodbye, thanks for reading!

Unfortunately, animals are not treated specially in a large percentage of homes here in Nigeria, I once lived in a place where my neighbors laughed at me for bathing my dog and feeding her well, to them it was a complete waste of money, people really need to do better as the benefits of having a pet in the house remains enormous.

Hello friend @gbenga!
Thanks for your comment and for sharing your experience. Certainly the benefits of sharing with a pet, the love and companionship they provide are unique. There are many people who still do not dare to live the experience and treat them in the wrong way, that is why we must cultivate this feeling from childhood. Greetings!

@yusvelasquez Animals are part of our world, they live with us like plants, that is why I believe that we form a whole and as such we must act giving them love and care, especially domestic ones, that is a great lesson for our children, a way to teach them empathy, regards
