Every morning Liza and her brothers went to the dumpsite to find valuable materials like scraps and plastic bottles. Liza who is now 8 years, her younger brothers Jake age 7 and Paul age 6 have lived the life of a scavenger. They have to earned a living in order to survived and helped their widow mother who was struck by a tuberculosis.
Despite her situation, Liza never loses hope for she believe that one day she can achieved her dreams. She wanted to build a decent house for her mother and become a successful doctor someday. She strives hard so that she can finished her education. Everyday she wakes around 4:00 o'clock in the morning and then proceeds directly to the dumpsite with her brothers so that they can scavenge. Days turns into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years. Liza was able to finished her basic education. Liza is gifted and intelligent , she was able to finished her secondary education as a valedictorian. Her mother who have recovered from tuberculosis was very proud of her achievement. The life story of Liza captured the interest of a well known philanthropist, an offered her a scholarship in whatever course she will choose provided she join in different humanitarian works. For Liza, this is the key for her dreams, she grabbed the opportunity. At first Liza find it difficult to balance her studies because being in a medical school needs a lot of time however every week she would rendered humanitarian works in church and outreach program. However, as time goes by Liza enjoyed her humanitarian works especially in the orphanage where she taught the children how to read and write. After a long, hard, difficult but fulfilling journey, Liza have now become one of the elite medical surgeon in the country. She was able to fulfilled her dreams and promises to her mother, and brothers.
The story of success about the life of Liza takes pride in the value of education in which our country must uphold. That poverty should never be a hindrance to success but a key to have a mettle core values in life necessary in achieving one's dream.
Napaka ganda po nang story ni Liza, kung sa iba ang kahirapan ay naging hadlang sa kanilang buhay, sa story ni Liza ay naging inspirasyon ito upang mapagtagumpayan at makamit ang kanyang pangarap sa buhay. Talagang hindi hadlang ang kahirapan para maging successful.
