About Encephalitis
Encephalitis is known as an inflammation of the brain, that is often caused by a viral infection, which can be a result of autoimmune disorders, bacterial infections, and some kind of inflammation conditions. Encephalitis is seen as a life-threatening inflammation that can be life-threatening if proper care like treating it on time is not taken.
Symptoms
The symptoms of encephalitis can be categorized into mid-case or severe cases which is based on these two. Let's take a look at them.

Causes
There are two causes of encephalitis; viral infections and bacteria and others**.
Viral Infections Causes: In this the following are the causes of viral Infections; Herpes simplex virus which is the most severe form, mosquito-borne virus, rabies virus, and enterovirus. All these and even measles, mumps, and rubella virus are the viral causes of encephalitis.
Bacterial and Other Causes: bacterial infections like; tuberculosis, and Lyme disease can cause encephalitis. Also fungal or parasitic infections and autoimmune reactions like Anti NMDA can cause encephalitis.
Treatment
In terms of treatment, it is dependent on the causes of encephalitis.
Antiviral Medications: one can take acyclovir for encephalitis that is herpes related or other antiviral drugs..
Supportive Care: The following; IV fluids, Medications for fever, swelling, or seizures, and oxygen therapy.
Immunotherapy and steroids can help to reduce inflammation.
Cognitive rehabilitation and physical can help to reduce inflammation as they support movement.
