The Diary Game #61: 30/11/24: Christmas market

Hello my dear Steemians,

 

Today is Saturday and it is my day off once again, I am lucky having this month most of my weekends off, although this weekend is a bit shorter because my working week will start tomorrow already so it will be then six days in row. But then I am having next weekend both days free so it is already something to cheer up.

As you know this weekend is the first week of winter and of December month. Normally there are some places where there are Christmas markets and also some entertainments for children. We just wanted to check up what is happening in our centre of a town. On other hand we wanted to visit our favourite coffee place, where you can receive the most delicious coffee drinks.

The first thing that we noticed going along the main street that there were few stands with of course, some sweets for children, some carousels and other entertainment opportunities. I love the one with snow cannon. That is a machine that uses water, that will be cooled down by the machine and turned into snow that is then spread with a pressure and looks like it is snowing. Everyone wanted to pass by and to catch dome snow flakes just to check if it is a real snow or if it is made from water and melts on hand or if it is some chemical foam. But it was cold and definitely melt on a hand.

 

 

This is our main street and usually it is for pedestrians but often there will be some cars delivering stuff for shops and also handicap people have special pass that they can drive and park there.

 

You can see the little entertainment places, it is still early in the day therefore, not many people yet.

 

 

The next place we decided to visit was our Shopping centre there are not many shops but the few that were there were also nicely decorated. I love this window with a fireplace and everything that usually associates with Christmas time in UK.
 

 

 

 

This shop is dedicated for Christmas present ideas that is why there are people. It is not really easy to find appropriate gift but here you can find something that children will love.
 

 

This is a Christmas tree was erected already some some polar bears around but still no decoration, they might staring decorating later today, hope it will be colourful :)
 

 

Here is our favourite cafe place and as you can see they also ready for Christmas and there are some coffee sorts that are prepared as gifts for coffee lovers. We will buy some later the month.

 

 

Our favourite drinks are "Caramel Latte" and it was delicious as always.
 

 

On the way home we visited another shop that we visit time to time to get some nice drinks as gifts for family, the new thing there they have couple of comfortable places so people can have sit and enjoy their drinks locally too.

 

 

 

 

That was our day on the first Christmas weekend, as you see people are ready for their Holidays and also people now buying their presents. I hope that there will be more activities around and also more decoration of a city. Hope you enjoyed our journey and wishing you nice weekend.
